Christians must be deeply rooted in Holy Scripture as God’s very Word. It leads us to salvation in Christ, equips us for righteousness, and keeps us from wandering into falsehood.

The church must guard against those who appear religious on the outside but are dead in sin, especially false teachers. Only God’s Spirit can make a sinner godly.
