What is David writing about in Psalm 16? Maybe he wrote it while he was on the run from Saul, a trusted friend who betrayed him? Or maybe he speaks of facing Goliath, a towering foe that that sought kill him? Or maybe its about the loss the child he never got to know? Maybe he's talking about fleeing from Absolom, his rebellious son that sought to undo his fathers house? His life seems to fit between the lines of Psalm 16 doesn't it? But there's more here! And it points to Jesus. In this sermon on Psalm 16 from Ryan Swindle we'll see David is speaking to the resurrection of Jesus!!

Grief is tough. We don't like it. We try to ignore it or explain it away. But we can't tell the story of God without grief and suffering. Maybe that's why the modern church's telling of the story of God isn't believable.

This Psalm invites us to grieve. And it tells a compelling story. One that will make you want to worship with Gods people on Sunday and skip Sunday Brunch.

We pray your faith will be made stronger and that you'll be encouraged by this sermon from Psalm 6 from Shaynor Newsome.

Jesus closes the sermon on the Mount with this question…. Whose voice do you listen to?

Jesus is telling us to be discerning and careful because false prophets are not as they appear. They are great speakers, full of charisma, they are likable, successful, and they’re easy to listen to. Their new hit podcast is so refreshing. Their recent book on “3 keys to Christian Living” is on the best sellers list. Their church is growing by leaps and bounds. Their Instagram feed is so encouraging. They have all the appearances of Holiness but they don’t really point you to Jesus. They point to a gospel that’s easy, a path that is wide, and they use Jesus to to endorse their own brand.

Wake up church! Re-build your house on the rock, 'cause the wind and the waves are coming.

We pray your faith will be made stronger and that you'll be encouraged by this sermon from Matthew 7 from Zach Pummill.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". This simple statement by Jesus is so loaded. And what does the Golden Rule have to do with the following verse.. "Enter through the narrow is the gate"? It's more profound than you might expect. Soften your heart so that your faith will be made stronger and be encouraged by this sermon from Matthew 7 on the Golden Rule from Zach Pummill.

"Judge not lest you be judged!". "Who are you to judge me?". "I'm just living my truth". We have a tendency to look at scripture through the lens of what words mean in our culture. In Jesus' day "to judge" had a different connotation. What is Jesus really trying to say to us in this passage?

If you can answer these questions honestly, you have to question what it is that you really value? Lay up for yourselves treasure in heaven seems so simple on the surface right?
