God designed life to be filled with joy and happiness.  Of course our sin has a way of robbing us of some of that joy – but in Jesus we can find fullness of joy in all situations of life.

Throughout Redeemer’s 93 year history, the people of Redeemer have taken bold and courageous steps of faith, trusting in God’s promises.  God’s promise to work through all circumstances to accomplish his will gives us hope!

Jesus said that He IS the way, the truth and the life.  All truth originates from him and is embodied in Him.

Breastplate of Righteousness - Ephesians 6:10-18; Romans 3:21-31

Of the six pieces of spiritual armor mentioned in Ephesians 6, 4 of them are for defense and two of them are for offense.  Our feet are fitted with the gospel of peace to go into the world as peacemakers.  The mission of Jesus is about reconciling sinners to God and to each other.  What does it mean for you to be a peace-maker?

Self-Control - Galatians 5:22-23; Luke 6:27-36

Self-control – the ability to control your emotions, desires and actions, especially in difficult circumstances.  But Jesus shows us how to marshal and direct our energies wisely, to accomplish his will and his purposes.  Jesus’ self-control led him to lay down his life for the world, that we might be controlled by his spirit instead of sin and evil.

Faithfulness - Galatians 5:22-23; Matthew 25:14-30 

Faithfulness is defined as remaining loyal and steadfast.  For Christians this is rooted in loyalty to God’s purposes, plans, and mission.  Ultimately it is loyalty to Jesus – his work of redemption and his call to join in his mission.
