What must I do to inherit eternal life? What does the Law say? The parable of the Good Samaritan has a lot to teach us about inheriting eternal life, and it honestly isn't how we normally think about it. Readings: 2 Chronicles 28:8-15; Galatians 3:15-22; Luke 10: 23-37.

How long must we put up with the sin of this world and its effects? Isaiah says not a very little while, but how long is that? Though your ears are stopped and your tongue tied by the grief of this world, dear Christian, you have confidence. Your confidence is through Christ, who has done all things well. Readings: Isaiah 29:17-24; 2 Corinthians 3:4-11; Mark 7:31-37

What makes someone worthy of eternal life? Who is worthy of approaching and speaking with God? Jesus taught a parable to learn about this lesson, and it isn't about attitude or humility. It's about faith wrought by the Holy Spirit, repenting of sins, and believing in Christ's forgiveness. Readings: Genesis 4:1-15; 1 Corinthians 15:1-10; Luke 18:9-14.

What is sanctification? Is it just a big word? Is it worth learning? The answer is yes! In this sermon, we sit at the feet of St. Paul and hear of the counter-examples given to us in the Israelites. We also learn of God's great mercy for them and even for us. Readings: 2 Samuel 22:26-34; 1 Corinthians 10:6-13; Luke 16:1-13.
