Nijay is Professor of New Testatment at Northern Seminary and is widely regarded as one of the country's best scholars on the book of Philippians. He is the author of, Reading Philippians.

In this session, Nijay will talk about how Paul's letter to the Philippians is all about understanding the unique culture and ethos of the Church, which this letter imagines as a kind of "Gospel commonwealth." Citizens of this special heavenly country are called to represent Jesus and live like Him.

AJ is Associate Professor of Bible, Theology & World Christianity at Bushnell University, and author of several books including, Subversive Sabbath and After Doubt.

AJ opens the conference asking the questions: Is there a way to walk faithfully through doubt and come out the other side with a deeper love for Jesus, the Church, and its tradition? Can we question our faith without losing it?
