God's great goal of uniting all things in Christ is being achieved as those who have been chosen in Christ from the foundation of the world and who have been redeemed by His blood, both Jew and Gentile, believe in Christ through the Gospel and are sealed by the Holy Spirit, the guarantee of eternal blessings, all to God's glory.

Jesus Christ shed his blood because our gracious God was intent upon reclaiming for himself the objects of his love who were ruined by sin and causing all creation to be harmoniously summed up under the rule of his exalted Son.

God is to be praised for the grace he purposed to show to believers whom he freely chose in eternity past and destined to become holy, blameless and beloved sons in Christ.

The Apostle Paul wrote a powerful letter from prison to believers in Ephesus (and perhapse other churches), laying a careful foundation for their faith and then urgin them to live in a manner worthy of God's call by grace to holiness.

God's rich blessings, conferred on the First Adam but forfeited by sin, have been regained by Jesus Christ, the Second Adam, through His suffering, death, resurrection and ascension, and they will be enjoyed by those joined to THE Man by faith.
