In this sermon we continue to look at Paul’s instruction regarding the false teachers and the deceitful spirits that were plaguing the church at Ephesus, we see how the false teachers are used, and how Paul exposes and corrects some of the false teaching that was going on.

As Paul moves into the middle section of his letter to Timothy he returns to the problem of false teachers in the church. Here Paul gives insight into the source and tactics of these false teachers and serves as help for us in our calling to be discerning.

As Moses reflects on his many trials and triumphs he passes on a Psalm of wisdom and insight. May we have ears to hear this timeless council.

In this sermon we finish our look at Paul’s hymn of confession found in 1 Timothy 3. We see that Christ was believed on in the world and we also see that Christ was received up into glory upon His ascension and exaltation!
