1. What did God say this week through the book of Ruth?

2. One of the themes of chapter 1 is the element of surprise in the redemptive storyline of God. The Israelites don’t get it, but the teenage Moabitess named Ruth totally gets it. What questions or reflections does that raise for you? What does this mean for us today?

3. What’s a situation in your life that felt like nothing but pain and loss, but ultimately it led to something good (perhaps even great) that you could not see at the time? How does that encourage you to trust Him more today?
