Have you ever watched someone else succeed and, instead of feeling completely happy for them, felt a little punch in the gut?
Maybe you congratulated them. Maybe you smiled and hit the like button. But underneath it all was a little comparison, insecurity, or even envy.
So why can someone else’s success make us question our own?
In this episode of Redefine Success, we’re talking about how to genuinely celebrate others’ success while still confidently pursuing your own. We’ll dig into what envy may be revealing, why someone else’s win is NOT evidence of your failure, and how comparison can quickly steal the peace and confidence you need to pursue your own God-given calling.
Plus, I’m sharing four practical ways to squash envy when that green-eyed monster starts to rear its head. Their win doesn’t have to become your loss. There is room for their calling AND your calling, their win AND your win.
God-led success is following our calling, learning how to win well, and learning how to cheer well, too.

Struggling to let go of control especially when it comes to something you really want?
We know we’re supposed to trust God, but surrender gets harder when we already have a picture of how things should work out. We have the goal, the timeline, the plan, and the outcome we’re hoping for. So how do we surrender our plans without giving up on our goals?
In this episode of Redefine Success, we’re talking about four practical ways to loosen your grip, release control, and still actively pursue God-led success.
We’ll talk about how to recognize what you’re trying to control, how to hold your plans with an open hand, the difference between doing your part and trying to do God’s part, and how to practice trust before you know how the story turns out.
Because surrender doesn’t mean giving up your ambition, your dreams, or your responsibility to work hard. It means leaving room for God to lead.
If you’ve been overthinking an outcome, struggling with God’s timing, trying to force a door open, or wondering how to trust God while still pursuing your goals, this episode will give you practical ways to retrain your thinking and approach success differently.

What if comparison is quietly chipping away at your confidence—not because you're failing, but because you're measuring your life against the wrong picture?
We live in a world of selfies, social media highlight reels, polished announcements, and picture-perfect moments. And when we compare our real, everyday, in-progress lives to someone else's "podium picture," it's easy to overlook the progress happening right in front of us.
In this episode of Redefine Success, we're talking about what I call picture mentality. Its the tendency to measure success by what looks impressive from the outside. We'll explore why success isn't one-size-fits-all, how comparison can distort our perspective and impact our confidence, and why some of the most meaningful signs of growth may never come with a trophy, a picture, or applause.
We'll also look at the difference between textbook success and God-led success and why faithfulness, resilience, character, and progress matter even when no one else sees them.
Plus, I'll give you four simple ways to start shifting your mindset and recognize the success you may have been overlooking. It's possible that the success you're looking for is already there. You just couldn't see it because you were looking for the wrong picture.
Ready for more clarity and confidence?
It's time to stop letting someone else's picture define your success—and start recognizing what God is doing in your own life.

When life feels confusing, disappointing, or hard, it’s easy to let fear fill in the blanks. One comment, one setback, one hard moment, and suddenly we’re assuming the worst, replaying the negative, and letting one challenge color the entire story.
In this episode, we’re talking about the power of perspective and why a winning mindset matters so much in the middle of real-life challenges. Kristin shares how shifting your thoughts can help you stop spiraling, start looking for what’s still good, and face unwanted situations with truth, grit, and a God-led perspective.
This isn’t about pretending the hard thing isn’t hard. It’s about learning how to stop giving fear the microphone, stop letting one bad moment take over the whole day, and start asking better questions in the middle of the challenge.
If you’ve been feeling stuck in negative thought patterns, overwhelmed by uncertainty, or tempted to assume the worst, this episode will help you reset your perspective and anchor your mind in truth.

Have you ever looked at your already overflowing schedule and thought, "You know what I need? Another commitment?"
If so, you're not alone.
In this episode of Redefine Success, we're tackling a challenge that quietly steals our motivation, clouds our thinking, and makes it nearly impossible to maintain a winning mindset: burnout.
I'll share about my attempt to learn sign language while juggling an already packed schedule and my ambitious return to the keyboard after more than thirty years away from it. While both were worthy pursuits, they revealed an important truth: burnout isn't always the result of making bad choices. Sometimes it's the result of trying to do every good thing that comes our way.
In this episode, you'll discover:
• Why burnout destroys your ability to maintain a winning mindset
• Why intentionality is essential for protecting your time and energy
• Practical ways to identify what's most important in your current season of life
If you've been feeling stretched thin, unmotivated, or like your to-do list resembles a CVS receipt, this episode will encourage you to pause, realign your priorities, and create space for what matters most.

Do you know what's harder to control than a four-year-old in a bounce house after cake, ice cream, and a candy buffet?
Your emotions.
In this episode, we're talking about emotional resilience—the ability to adapt, recover, and keep moving forward when life doesn't go according to plan. Whether you're navigating disappointment, waiting on answered prayers, raising children, balancing work and family, facing setbacks, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, emotional resilience plays a critical role in your peace, confidence, and God-led success.
Using Philippians 4:8 as our anchor scripture, we'll explore why our thoughts and emotions are so closely connected and how what occupies our minds ultimately influences our perspective, our decisions, and the direction of our lives.
This conversation isn't about pretending everything is okay when it isn't. It's about learning how to acknowledge difficult emotions without allowing them to dictate your future. It's about choosing faith over fear, hope over discouragement, and God's truth over temporary feelings.
Emotional resilience isn't about avoiding difficult emotions. It's about developing the ability to keep moving forward without allowing those emotions to determine your direction.
If this episode resonated with you and you're ready to strengthen your confidence, develop healthier thought patterns, and build greater emotional resilience, I'd love to help.

Have you ever noticed how comfortable we are when we feel like we're in control?
In this episode, I share a simple but powerful lesson from a recent swim lesson. My student is perfectly fine in one area of the pool—even though she can't touch the bottom. But the moment she thinks she's entering the deep end, fear takes over.
Whether it's starting a business, pursuing a dream, having a difficult conversation, stepping into leadership, or following a calling God keeps placing on our hearts, we often find ourselves hesitating—not because God has changed, but because we're being asked to leave what's familiar.
This episode uncovers
And..I include a faith-filled twist on today's overly popular acronym.
Faith isn't having all the answers before you move. Faith is trusting God enough to take the next step and discovering His faithfulness along the way.
If you've been waiting until you feel ready, certain, or confident before moving forward, this episode is your reminder that sometimes the breakthrough isn't found in the planning—it's found in the stepping.
Hebrews 11:8
Remember: The same God who has been faithful in the shallow end will be faithful in the deep end.

Have you ever accomplished something, only to immediately focus on what could have been better? Maybe you've found yourself comparing your life to someone else's, chasing impossible standards, or feeling like your best efforts somehow never quite measure up.
In this episode, we're tackling the hidden burden of perfectionism and how comparison can keep us from ever feeling successful. We'll explore why the finish line keeps moving, why it's so difficult to celebrate our wins, and how God's definition of success differs from the world's.
Through personal stories, biblical wisdom from James 1:4 and Philippians 3:12, and a fresh perspective on what it means to live faithfully, you'll discover that success isn't about getting everything right—it's about growing, maturing, and becoming more like Christ along the way.
If you've ever been too hard on yourself, struggled to celebrate your accomplishments, or felt like nothing you do is quite good enough, this episode is for you.
It's time to stop chasing perfect, start celebrating progress, and redefine success through the lens of faithfulness.
It's time to celebrate!
