WHAT WE LEARN FROM THIS MIRACLE AND SPEECH STORY: 

* We ought to be praying for those we love, not just for their physical bodies but for their souls also. 

* No matter what we’ve accomplished in this life, Jesus Christ accomplished so much more and has earned His place of authority in everyone’s lives. 

* We must come to Him in faith to receive the marvelous benefits of the Gospel!

One of the major purposes of the Gospel of Matthew is to make known that the King of the Jews is actually the King of the Universe. This King is gracious and kind. He opened up His Good News of salvation to, not just the initially chosen nation of Israel, but to the whole world! Now us, the gentiles according to the Jews are actually the chosen people of God and those who don’t.

• Faithful Friends Intercede to Jesus for One Another.
• Humble Faith Reveres Christ's Authority.
• Salvation by Faith Alone is Marvelous.

Main Idea

Jesus is willing to heal and cleanse from sinfulness all that would come to him in faith. For many, you have already experienced his life changing, cleansing power. The challenge for the believer then is to find out what his commands are and then live them out. One of them is to be a witness to what He’s done in your life by sharing and living out your testimony. Be faithful in doing your ministry His way.

Jesus giving us a final comparison; two potential ways to build that life; on a SOLID foundation, or a foundation of shifting sand.

Main idea: There are many people who say or think that they are Christian but are not truly Christian. Mental ascent and saying the words aren't a formula for salvation. Main Idea: Jesus, and many other authors of Scripture, warn us about false teachers used by Satan coming into the Church to deceive people. They use subtlety and craft to minimize major doctrines. They pretend to be one of us, claim to be looking out for our best interests but really are for promoting themselves and satisfying their own hunger for power, fame and money.
