…that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Devil, rulers, authorities, cosmic powers, spiritual forces of evil. (Demons)
Who Are We Doing War Against? - Stand against- be hostile toward, oppose.
Devil
Ephesians 2:2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
World
Colossian 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.
Flesh
Romans 8:7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will.
John Chrysostom writes, “All are included. It is not possible to say that anyone is exempted” from the presence of sin and the enemies of: the world, the flesh, and the Devil (Believers and unbelievers alike)
How Do We Wage War?
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
