As Redemption Church reestablishes its covenantal partnership, we begin a new series on the Covenental Life of God in the Church. What do we believe, and why do we believe it?

Far from being merely a past reality, the Good News of the excellent and supreme King Jesus continues to overthrow the suppressive powers of sin throughout our journey with Him.

Because God freely gives us the benefits of His kingdom, we are called to give out of our own abundance without care for what others might think.

As citizens of the Good News Kingdom, Jesus calls us to live a cruciform life. It is only by the presence of His Spirit that we can love those who have harmed us, just as Jesus did.

Today we consider the gift of intimacy in God's presence, three obstacles to godly intimacy, and how He overcomes our selfish disposition with His love.

When we fix our eyes on Jesus, we see that He has our good at heart--even when His words about sexual sin are hard to hear.

When Jesus equated hate with murder, he pointed to the deep reality that because we've been reconciled with the Father, we ought to seek reconciliation with others.

Through the obedience of Messiah, we are declared right with God. Because Jesus fulfilled the covenant on behalf of His people, we are unleashed into a new era, a new kingdom, a new way of living that is free of self-righteousness or facades.

Jesus described his earliest followers as the "salt of the earth" and "light of the world." Before we ask what that means for us, we must first ask what it meant to a 1st Century Jew.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus describes what life looks like when we follow Him. Those who live in the Good News Kingdom are transformed by the Holy Spirit to be merciful, peacemakers, and pure in heart.
