As one of Jesus' final acts with His disciples before going to the cross, He washes their feet. It's rare and unbelievable that a king, let alone the king of the world and Son of God would humble himself like this. Jesus shows us and challenges us on what it means to serve, what it means to love, and how His love in our life changes everything. (01-17-16)

Redemption church is 1 year old and we have a lot to celebrate! No one wants to experience pain and suffering, but the reality is we all will. It's a sign that things aren't the way they're supposed to be. As we encounter Jesus in this section of John 12 and the crowd of people, we get an insight into something incredibly important; purpose propels us through our pain, just as Jesus' purpose did the same. If we're all being honest, we struggle with giving up control. When it comes to a relationship with Jesus it's the same, "you can lead as long as ____". And when things enter our life that we don't have control over it can produce frustration, anger, and anxiety, none of which Jesus wants for you. So what's the solution?
