We've seen ways the Spirit bears fruit in our lives--but what about in Jesus' life? The Son of God was entirely dependent upon the Spirit of God, and it showed time and again. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit to bear fruit in his life, then all the more do we!

Jesus loves us and commands us to love one another. Because love is the defining mark of true disciples and the most powerful testimony to a watching world. Love must be expressed in patient, kind, humble, forgiving, and enduring ways, because without it, even the most impressive spiritual acts amount to nothing.

Every human heart has an inherited sinful nature. It drives our desires and decisions. Through faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit empowers believers to overcome our sin nature, producing the fruit of the Spirit. Christians must daily rely on the Spirit to live transformed lives.
