Today we study 1 Timothy 4 to see what Paul teaches us about combating toxic leadership. There are two extremes: hedonism and asceticism that Timothy must fight against. Gospel living is found somewhere in the balance. We can never forget to nourish ourselves with the Truth of God's word, and to teach others and practice the truth in our everyday lives.

Today we jump back into chapter 3 of 1 Timothy to see how church leadership should be ordered. Elders and deacons are mentioned, so we talk about what those are, what they're supposed to be and do, and how that affects our church. Thanks for listening!

This week we slow down in 1 Timothy 3:14-16 so we can cnsider the mystery of godliness, God, and the gospel. We may not be able to grasp all that God has for us, but one thing is clear: He loves us and wants us to experience him in this life. He's our Father! Let's run back to him, instead of running away in rebellion.

We continue our 1 Timothy series, studying 1 Timothy 2. Paul's focus is on gathering and prayer, but he also includes one of the most misunderstood and misused passages of Scripture in this section! We try to tackle all these things well by pursuing humility. The point is to gather with humility toward God and one another because of what Jesus has done for us. As we begin a new series in 1 Timothy today, we look at chapter one to learn how to lead the church. Paul affirms Timothy's calling, encourages him to combat false teaching that goes against the gospel of grace, and to keep fighting the good fight. We can keep fighting the good fight, too, because Jesus one the victory for us!

Today we look at Galatians 6:7-10, which teaches us that you reap what you sow. If we sow seeds of the gospel into the mission, we'll reap a harvest of disciples! It's time for us to choose... are we going to go all in with God and mission? Jesus went all in for us so that we could go all in for him. The gospel costs us nothing, but it demands everything. Let's "put our yes on the table" and live to invite the outsider in.

Today is our last message in the Vision 2022 series. We look at Matthew 28:16-20, and 2 Timothy 2:1-2 to inform why we multiply disciples and mobilize leaders as our fourth core value. Multiplication is about growth, but not for the sake of growth. It's growing deeper into the gospel, which compels us to make disciples.

We're studying Luke 14:12-24 today to understand true hospitality. This is our 3rd core value as a church: we demonstrate hospitality toward our culture. We want to bring the "stranger" into our lives and love them like Jesus loved us when we were strangers to him. Thanks for checking out our messages online!
