Every Sunday, Redemption Hill Church participates in the Lord’s Table. There are theological convictions for this pattern. One reason is that the Lord’s Table is an ongoing remembrance of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ (1 Cor 11:23-26). And a question I often receive from parents is, when should I allow my child to participate in communion?

Every pastor has their favorite quotes. I am no exception. Whether it is from Augustine, Calvin, or Charles Spurgeon, quotes can make a point, turn a phrase, or leave you mesmerized with the desire to hear more. Here is one of my favorites from 19th-century Dutch theologian Abraham Kuyper.

The first recorded murder was a tragedy, and the blood of Abel cried out from the ground. However, through the blood of another will come redemption.

Adam and Eve serve as a poor example of how to respond to sin. However, the path back to the garden is trusting in the 2nd Adam.
