God has brought his Redeemer out of the smoldering chaos of this world to rescue his people.

"Out of Egypt I called my son."

"A voice was heard in Ramah,
        weeping and loud lamentation,
    Rachel weeping for her children;
        she refused to be comforted, because they are no more.”

He will be called a Nazarene.

God's righteousness means condemnation for some and hope for others. Hide yourself from the storm of God's coming wrath in the refuge of Christ's righteousness.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, 'The righteous shall live by faith.'” Romans 1:16-17

Herod and all Jerusalem were terrified.

The wise men rejoiced exceedingly.

How will you respond to Jesus authority?

"And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh." Matthew 2:11

Christ has come to redeem his people. 

“'Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel' (which means, God with us)." Matt 1:23

When God takes away our dreams will we turn to him trusting that he will fulfill all his promises to us in Christ?

"When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever." (2 Sam 7:12-13)
