This is Episode 10 of a multi-episode series for the Launch Team of Redemption Story Church. Our goal is to equip and unite our launch team to plant a healthy multiplying local church in Clarkston, MI. In this episode, Devin interviews Joce Jocque, the Minister of Worship. Jocelyn has served in ministry her entire adult life. She became a believer in the Youth Ministry of Grace Church, gained a heart for missions, helped plant a church in the 90's, went on the mission field in the early 2000s, served as the Worship Interim at Grace Church, and is now joining the Launch Team to plant Redemption Story Church. All this while raising two boys, working through another masters, and working a full time job. She is incredible. This is Episode 5 of a multi-episode series for the launch of Redemption Story Church. Our goal is to unite and equip our team to plant a healthy and multiplying church in the Clarkston area. In this episode, Devin and Tom discuss liturgy and the elements of gathered worship. Though we will not be a high church, Redemption Story will be historically rooted in the protestant faith and tradition, joyfully incorporating creeds, confessions, and hymns with contemporary and spirit filled worship. We are liturgical creatures built by habits. Our habits shape what we believe, what we become, and what we do. We want our gathered worship to be marked by liturgy (habit) that is rich in theology, allowing us to weekly participate in (not just consume) the great Redemption Story we believe.

Our goal is to unite and equip our team to plant a healthy and multiplying local church in the Clarkston area. In this episode, Devin and Tom discuss the importance of church membership. At the surface, membership seems like a simple topic, but as you seek to understand it from Scripture and extrapolate from church history, it really is quite a complex conversation, and you will find that Covenant Membership is uniquely tied to the topic of Baptism. But this is important for us to reflect on, as we (the Launch Team) will be the first Covenant Members of Redemption Story Church.
