  • Jesus Alone

Send us your questions and reflections!

Is Jesus one helpful option among many—or is He truly enough?

The believers in Colossae were being pressured to add special knowledge, spiritual experiences, religious rules, and human traditions to their faith in Christ. Paul responded by reminding them that all the fullness of God lives in Jesus and that, in Christ, they had been brought to fullness.

In this concluding episode of our truth series on Rediscovering Faith, we explore what it means to place our salvation, identity, security, and ultimate hope in Jesus alone.

“Jesus is enough” does not mean that we never need Christian community, medical care, wise counsel, rest, or practical help. These are often gifts through which God cares for us. It means that we stop asking people, possessions, success, politics, religious performance, or spiritual experiences to provide what only Christ can give.

We do not need to add anything to the saving work of Jesus. He is not merely one voice offering an opinion about truth. He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Today’s question: Where am I looking for something to complete me that can only be found in Christ?

  • Rooted in Christ

Send us your questions and reflections!

When opinions constantly change and persuasive voices pull us in different directions, what keeps our faith grounded?

In Ephesians 4:14–15, Paul warns believers against being tossed back and forth by every new teaching. Instead, he calls us to speak the truth in love and grow together into spiritual maturity under the leadership of Christ.

In this episode of Rediscovering Faith, we explore four practices that deepen our spiritual roots: knowing Jesus personally, engaging Scripture, remaining connected to mature Christian community, and practicing the truth through daily obedience.

Biblical truth is not given merely to help us win arguments. It is meant to transform us into the likeness of Jesus. Truth without love can become harsh and arrogant, while love without truth avoids the honesty genuine growth requires. Jesus perfectly holds both together.

Christian maturity is not measured only by how much truth we can explain, but also by how deeply that truth has formed the character of Christ within us.

Today’s question: What keeps me grounded when the winds of opinion begin to change?

  • Spiritual Discernment

Send us your questions and reflections!

Not every voice that sounds spiritual is speaking the truth. How can we recognize whether advice, teaching, or supposed spiritual guidance is actually leading us toward Jesus?

First John 4:1 tells believers, “Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.” Spiritual discernment means carefully examining what we hear instead of accepting a message because it sounds confident, includes a Bible verse, confirms our opinions, or has become popular.

In this episode of Rediscovering Faith, we explore four practical questions for testing spiritual messages:

Does it reflect the Jesus revealed in Scripture?
Does it agree with the broader witness of God’s Word?
What kind of fruit will it produce?
Can it withstand the wisdom of mature Christian community?

Truth may challenge us and call us to repentance, but it will ultimately form the character of Jesus within us. Discernment requires prayer, patience, humility, and a willingness to admit that we may be wrong.

Today’s question: What message or piece of advice do I need to test spiritually?

  • The Danger of Custom Truth

Send us your questions and reflections!

Are you following Jesus—or a customized version of Jesus who always agrees with you?

We live in a world built around customization. Our playlists, news feeds, entertainment, and social media are tailored to our preferences. But when we approach truth the same way, we can begin selecting the beliefs we enjoy while ignoring everything that challenges us.

In Colossians 2:8, Paul warns Christians not to be taken captive by hollow and deceptive ideas rooted in human tradition and worldly principles rather than Christ.

In this episode of Rediscovering Faith, we examine how culture can quietly shape what we believe. Consumerism, individualism, politics, social media, family assumptions, and even church traditions can influence us more deeply than we realize. False ideas do not always sound dangerous; they may sound reasonable, empowering, or spiritual while gradually drawing us away from Jesus.

A truth that always agrees with us cannot transform us. We need the truth revealed in Christ—a truth that comforts us, confronts us, and leads us into genuine freedom.

Today’s question: Where is culture shaping my beliefs more than Christ?

  • Truth That Doesn't Shift

Send us your questions and reflections!

Why does truth matter—and where can we find truth that does not shift?

Our beliefs shape the way we live. What we believe about God, ourselves, and the world influences our choices, relationships, fears, and hopes. Yet popular opinions, cultural trends, personal emotions, and the voices surrounding us are constantly changing.

In John 14:6, Jesus declares, “I am the way and the truth and the life.” Jesus does not merely claim to teach the truth; He identifies Himself as the truth. Christian truth is not simply a collection of ideas to debate—it is revealed in the person we are called to know and follow.

In this episode of Rediscovering Faith, we explore why sincerity, personal preference, and emotion cannot determine ultimate reality. Feelings are real, but they are not always reliable guides. Jesus provides a steady foundation that both comforts and confronts us, always leading us toward freedom and life.

When the world offers conflicting answers about who you are, what matters, and how you should live, you can anchor yourself in the unchanging truth of Jesus Christ.

Today’s question: What part of my life needs to be anchored again in the truth of Jesus?

  • Walking in Freedom

Send us your questions and reflections!

Freedom is more than a single honest moment with God. It is a new way of living that we learn one Spirit-led step at a time.

Second Corinthians 3:17 declares, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” This freedom is not permission to do whatever we want. It is freedom from sin, shame, condemnation, fear, and the exhausting need to pretend. It is freedom to obey God, love others, and become more like Jesus.

In this concluding episode of our “No More Masks” series, we explore how the Holy Spirit helps us recognize old hiding places, replace lies with truth, and resist the temptation to put our masks back on. Walking in freedom does not mean that we will never struggle or stumble. It means that failure no longer has to drive us away from God.

The Holy Spirit is continually transforming us into the likeness of Christ. We do not have to manufacture freedom through willpower alone. We can listen for His guidance, respond to His conviction, and follow Him one faithful step at a time.

Today’s question: Where is the Holy Spirit inviting you to take your next step in freedom?

  • God Can Handle Your Real Self

Send us your questions and reflections!

Are you afraid that if God encountered the real you—the one who struggles, doubts, fails, hurts, and sometimes feels angry—He would turn away?

Romans 8:1 offers life-changing assurance: “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

In this episode of Rediscovering Faith, we explore why grace gives us the courage to remove our masks and become honest with God. God is not shocked by your emotions or surprised by your confession. He already knows you completely, and in Christ, He still welcomes you.

We will also consider the important difference between condemnation and conviction. Condemnation attacks your identity and drives you away from God. The Holy Spirit’s conviction identifies what needs to change and invites you toward forgiveness, healing, and transformation.

Jesus did not give His life for the polished version of you. He gave Himself for the real you. You do not have to hide from God because of what you have done—you can come to Him because of what Christ has done.

Today’s question: What part of your real self have you been afraid to bring before God?

  • Truth Brings Freedom

Send us your questions and reflections!

What truth do you need to accept in order to be set free?

In John 8:32, Jesus declares, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” But when His listeners hear Him speak about freedom, they immediately deny that they have ever been enslaved. Their response reveals a difficult reality: freedom sounds wonderful until it requires us to admit that we are not already free.

In this episode of Rediscovering Faith, we explore why truth can make us uncomfortable before it brings freedom. The sin, pain, resentment, fear, or unhealthy pattern we refuse to acknowledge does not disappear—it continues shaping our lives from beneath the mask.

Jesus does not reveal our bondage to shame us. He reveals our chains because He has come to break them. When we stop minimizing, defending, and pretending, we can bring the truth about ourselves to the One who promises that if the Son sets us free, we will be free indeed.

Today’s question: What truth do I need to accept in order to be set free?

  • No More Hiding

Send us your questions and reflections!

    What are you hiding behind?

In Genesis 3:8–10, Adam and Eve respond to their sin and shame by covering themselves and hiding from God. We may not conceal ourselves among the trees, but we still hide behind anger, humor, busyness, achievement, silence, religious appearances, and the automatic response, “I’m fine.”

In this episode of Rediscovering Faith, we explore how shame drives us into hiding—and why our hiding places can never heal us. God already knows the truth about our fears, wounds, failures, and struggles, yet He continues to call us toward Himself.

You do not need to tell everyone everything, but you can begin by becoming honest with God. Freedom begins where pretending ends, and healing begins when we step out from behind the mask.

  • You Are Seen

Send us your questions and reflections!

What if the person you have been trying to hide from is the God who already sees and knows you completely?

In this episode of Rediscovering Faith, we begin our “No More Masks” series with Psalm 139:1–4 and the comforting truth that we are fully seen by God. He knows our thoughts, fears, wounds, struggles, and the parts of ourselves we carefully hide from others—yet He does not turn away.

You do not need to impress God, manage His perception of you, or pretend that everything is fine. Because God already knows the real you, you are free to approach Him with honesty. Freedom begins where pretending ends, and healing often begins when the mask finally comes off.

Today’s question: What have you been trying to hide from the God who already sees you?
