This Sunday we talk about the value of commitment. In this post-pandemic world sticking to your commitments isn't of much value. People just don't show up for work. Emails. Texts go unresponded.

Good luck trying to schedule something with someone... you have to be persistent in your communication amid cancellations.

We are all in some ways "keeping our options open". We don't want to be nailed down to something. We are always "interested."

What does this thing commitment look like in this new world? Somehow this word commitment has become a bad word... but I think being committed to something... actually brings about value, purpose, and belonging.
