Looking to God for Wisdom, Proverbs 1:1-7

There is a lot to be anxious about. Yet Christmas is a reminder that the Prince of Peace has come.

Christmas is a celebration that a King is born! Those born in a democracy have to work a little harder to understand the role of a king. But what exactly does that mean that Jesus is King? From Luke 1 & 2.

The Christmas story includes an insecure king who wanted his name to be great. In the end he becomes a largely forgotten ruler in the shadow of a baby whom we still celebrate as the King above all kings.

Being known is both wonderful and frightening. Will others still love me if they knew what was on the inside? Psalm 139 celebrates a God who knows us and still loves us.

Our lives are filled with seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Where will we find help to make it? Psalm 121 reminds us we have a God who is our helper.

We live in a world where most things have a limited shelf life. There is one thing that never expires: the love God has for. That is worth giving thanks for. From Psalm 136.

With only hours to live, Jesus and his disciples sang a song together. What was that song? How is it possible to sing of life while facing death? Psalm 118 has an answer.
