From Ephesians 1:15-20

Prayer is often a struggle for many. Sometimes we lack desire or even the words. But we do have access to the words of God in Scripture which can guide us and provide the insight for how to pray. From 2 Corinthians 10.

In the chaotic holiday season, it is easy to be overwhelmed. Yet the coming of Jesus into the world provides something that can be found no where else: real and lasting peace. When you have that, it impacts everything around you. From Isaiah 9 & John 14.

Even before his birth the Scripture foresaw Jesus as the fulfillment of God’s mercy. Throughout his life people cried out to him to extend mercy in their pain. He was willing to do and still does it today. As recipients of that mercy, has it changed us? Jesus challenges us to make sure we are a people of mercy. From Matthew 18 & 20.

Christmas is the season we recognize God’s amazing gift of Jesus was born into our world. Jesus, our salvation, comes wrapped in love. When we’ve been transformed by that love, we also should become more loving. From John 3 and 1 John 4.

For several generations the Law of the Lord had been lost. During Josiah’s renovation of the temple it is found and read. This discovery of God’s word has an immediate impact and transformation on the nation. Does his word have the same transforming effect on our hearts? From 2 Chronicles 34.

Successive kings take Judah in the wrong direction. In several moments it appears the line of David will be snuffed out. But God never lets one of his words fall to the ground. The same is true in your life. Because of God’s faithful history, you can trust him with your life. From 2 Chronicles 21-23.
