I briefly touch on my experience with the DAT and emphasize the importance of this exam. This is such a loaded subject that I only wanted to post an intro to the subject for now in preparation for all of the upcoming podcast episodes I will be uploading this week in regards to the DAT.

In this episode I talk about a subject that makes a lot of us cringe. GPA!! I constantly worried my GPA was too low to be accepted into dental school. I’m here to say that worry was completely unnecessary. It’s not all about who has the highest GPA!

In this episode, I reflect back towards the beginning of my journey in pursing dentistry and talk about self-doubt that was fed by negative outside voices. Knowing I wasn’t a top candidate for dental school academically almost persuaded me to quit after an advisor gave a very discouraging seminar.

In the premier episode to the Reed.Dentistry Podcast, I set the stage for the beginning of my dental school pursuit. I talk about my experience trying to “figure” it out. This included my indecisiveness of committing to a career path while attending Penn State Altoona in 2012. I also talk about my experience in the Army National Guard and mention my time spent in Brazil!

The Reed.Dentistry Predental Podcast was created to help those pursuing Dentistry make it into dental school. My vision is to have every resource of information available about being admitted into dental school for anyone who is thinking about pursuing a career in dentistry.
