During the past several years, researchers at NASA's Ames Research Center in California's Silicon Valley have developed new instruments that can look below the ocean surface in more detail than ever before. Using techniques originally developed to look at stars, these "fluid-lensing" cameras use complex calculations to undo the optical distortions created by the water over coral reefs. Thanks to Caitlin Elliott for sharing this with us. https://bit.ly/RNNnewsPeter110 Tip of the Week Jeremy- Track your testing results, we have talked about this and there are tons of ways to do it! I keep my results in the notes application on my phone and email the note to myself with the title water parameters x the date. That way I can search my email and type in water parameters and all the results pop right up. Main Topic: A proper pH level is an essential factor in the health of any saltwater aquarium. In fact, if the pH level falls out of range, the fish and invertebrate occupants of the tank can become challenged, slowing their growth, and even compromising their immune system.
