The boy's are joined by a special guest, Xavier's wife Bella on this special holiday episode of Reel Belief. This episode we watched and discuss the 2006 version of The Nativity Story starring Oscar Isaac and directed by Twilight Director Catherine Hardwicke.

Betrothed to much-older Joseph (Oscar Isaac), Mary (Keisha Castle-Hughes) must remain a maiden for one year, but she subsequently receives a visit from the angel Gabriel, who tells her of her destiny. When Joseph and now-heavily pregnant Mary journey to Bethlehem for the Roman census, they face a threat from King Herod, whose obsession with an ancient prophecy endangers soon-to-be-born Jesus.

In this spooky episode Hosts Archie and Xavier discuss the 1973 horror classic The Exorcist based off of the William Peter Blatty novel of the same name. Xavier also gives his hot take on the 2021 theatrical event The Chosen Christmas special. 

"When young Regan (Linda Blair) starts acting odd -- levitating, speaking in tongues -- her worried mother (Ellen Burstyn) seeks medical help, only to hit a dead end. A local priest (Jason Miller), however, thinks the girl may be seized by the devil. The priest makes a request to perform an exorcism, and the church sends in an expert (Max von Sydow) to help with the difficult job."

On the third episode hosts Archie and Xavier discuss the 1967 classic Cool Hand Luke directed by Stuart Rosenburg. 

When petty criminal Luke Jackson (Paul Newman) is sentenced to two years in a Florida prison farm, he doesn't play by the rules of either the sadistic warden (Strother Martin) or the yard's resident heavy, Dragline (George Kennedy), who ends up admiring the new guy's unbreakable will. Luke's bravado, even in the face of repeated stints in the prison's dreaded solitary confinement cell, "the box," make him a rebel hero to his fellow convicts and a thorn in the side of the prison officers.

In the second episode of Reel Belief hosts Archie and Xavier discuss the 2013 comedy film This is the End.

In Hollywood, actor James Franco is throwing a party with a slew of celebrity pals. Among those in attendance are his buddies Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson. Suddenly, an apocalypse of biblical proportions erupts, causing untold carnage among Tinseltown's elite and trapping Franco's party in his home. As the world they knew disintegrates outside, cabin fever and dwindling supplies threaten to tear the six friends apart.

In the first full episodes the boys dive into 2016's Silence directed by Martin Scorsese.

Two 17th-century Portuguese missionaries, Father Sebastian Rodrigues (Andrew Garfield) and Father Francisco Garupe (Adam Driver), embark on a perilous journey to Japan to find their missing mentor (Liam Neeson). While there, the two men minister to the Christian villagers who worship in secret. If caught by feudal lords or ruling samurai, they must renounce their faith or face a prolonged and agonizing death. 

Hosts Xavier and Archie give a brief introduction to the concept behind Reel Belief as well a discuss a little bit about themselves, where they come from, what they believe, and other fun things.
