This week, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Birdcage. Based on the 1978 film and 1973 play La Cage aux Folles, this comedic cult classic takes us to Miami’s South Beach, where we meet Armand and Albert, a gay couple who hide their identities when meeting their son’s conservative future in-laws. Besides the film’s profound moments, it was ahead of its time and packed with memorable scenes and instantly quotable one-liners.
