  • Episode 42- The Breakfast Club (1985)

Five high school students from different walks of life endure a Saturday detention under a power-hungry principal (Paul Gleason). The disparate group includes rebel John (Judd Nelson), princess Claire (Molly Ringwald), outcast Allison (Ally Sheedy), brainy Brian (Anthony Michael Hall) and Andrew (Emilio Estevez), the jock. Each has a chance to tell his or her story, making the others see them a little differently -- and when the day ends, they question whether school will ever be the same.

In this episode the guys discuss this John Hughes classic for their #TeenDrama genre.  The topics of school detention, character archetypes and stereotypes come up, along with the dated material and how it could be redone if a remake were to occur.  Also reliving memories from middle school and high school, the boys go deep with some thoughts of the "fears" the characters in the film have.  We hope you wont forget about us and enjoy those #feels!

  • Episode 41- Point Break (1991)

After a string of bizarre bank robberies in Southern California, with the crooks donning masks of various former presidents, a federal agent, Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves), infiltrates the suspected gang. But this is no ordinary group of robbers. They're surfers -- led by the charismatic Bodhi (Patrick Swayze) -- who are addicted to the rush of thievery. But when Utah falls in love with a female surfer, Tyler (Lori Petty), who is close to the gang, it complicates his sense of duty.

Join the guys as they discuss the BEST 90's action movie about bank robbing surfers!  Okay, the ONLY movie about bank robbing surfers... but still, come on brah!  This is also host Drew's FIRST time watching this film.  Let's celebrate!  The boys discuss the laughable lines, the craziness of the surf and then they get into some interesting segments.  So lets catch some waves and maybe make a "legal" withdrawal while dressed as some dead presidents.

Joining the Allied forces, Hellboy eventually grows to adulthood, serving the cause of good rather than evil.

  • Episode 38- The Poseidon Adventure (1972)

For Episode 38, host Nathan has delighted us with one of the best #disaster genre films of the ages.  Throughout this episode we comment on the character development through the trials of the ship sinking around the passengers, thematic elements towards a deeper meaning in the film, close call stories and we even roll some dice.  So join us for a drink before we all start getting that sinking feeling.

En route from New York City to Greece on New Year's Eve, majestic passenger ship the S.S. Poseidon is overtaken by a tidal wave. With the captain (Leslie Nielsen) dead, surviving passengers, including the passionate Rev. Scott (Gene Hackman), band together in the ship's ballroom. The group struggles to avert fires, flooding, structural instability and mechanical malfunctions as they make their way through a maze of ladders and tunnels in their desperate attempt to escape a watery grave.

Everyone loves a #TrueStory, so that's what we have for our genre this time!  Host Drew chooses a film he remembers liking from high school and lets face it... it has Tom Hanks.

Frank Abagnale, Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio) worked as a doctor, a lawyer, and as a co-pilot for a major airline -- all before his 18th birthday. A master of deception, he was also a brilliant forger, whose skill gave him his first real claim to fame: At the age of 17, Frank Abagnale, Jr. became the mostsuccessful bank robber in the history of the U.S. FBI Agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) makes it his prime mission to capture Frank and bring him to justice, but Frank is always one step ahead of him

A 12-year-old boy goes missing in 1978, only to reappear once more in 1986. In the eight years that have passed, he hasn't aged. It is no coincidence that at the time he "comes back", a flying saucer is found, entangled in power lines.

  • Episode 34- Braveheart (1995)

For our "Historical Biopic" genre, host Jack reaches deep into his ("historically accurate") kilt and pulls out 1995's "Braveheart" for episode 34!

William Wallace is the medieval Scottish patriot who is spurred into revolt against the English when the love of his life is slaughtered. Leading his army into battles that become a war, his advance into England threatens King Edward I's throne before he is captured and executed, but not before becoming a symbol for a free Scotland.
