You’d hope the Monster King's second Godzilla Island Adventure would be a step up, and honestly, it kind of is. The massive practical bug puppets are a fantastic piece of physical fabrication, the deep-cut lore is a huge surprise if you’re paying attention, and the ending actually manages to be genuinely sweet.
