Reel Window: Rewatching Random Movies from our Childhood

It’s the best time of the week again! (Drumroll, if you please?) That’s right, it’s Triviasode time! Time for Lisa to ask Pauline random trivia and see if she can figure out the 90’s sequel that is the chosen movie of the week. Is it sweet? Check. Sappy? Check. Silly? Check. Is it a good movie? Eh…probably not. But that won’t stop the sisters from having fun! Tune in and find out what’s in the VCR this time.

The sisters are back! Huzzah! Life has quieted down just enough for the two of them to finally release their “Remember the Titian’s” full episode. A feel-good sports film starring Denzel Washington, this movie was beloved by the sisters. Even Lisa, whose idea of a good sports movie needs to involve horses for her to care. But after 23 years is this movie as good as Pauline and Lisa remember it? And will it be one they recommend? Tune in and find out!

We’re back!! And Pauline is bringing us back with a bang! Her and Lisa adored this one, and the quotes will be coming fast and furious this week, let me tell ya! Listen now to find out what we’re watching this week!

Update:we’re still off this week. Why? Because Life’s got a twisted sense of humour. This time Pauline is sick and until she’s recovered we won’t be able to record. We hope to get back to our usual fun and games (and wonderful repartee) soon!

It’s happening! The sisters are back and they’ve dragged Kevin along with them to talk about 2002’s “Lilo & Stitch”! A movie that Pauline did not watch growing up but that Kevin and Lisa (the perpetual child) definitely did. How do the trio feel about the movie after the rewatch? Is at as wonderful as they remember/hope? And how hyper will Lisa be now that she’s recovered from being home sick alone for a week? Put on your favourite Elvis record and tune in to find out!

Lisa’s movie of the week is one our younger brother, Kevin, loved! This is why he’s on the pod this week!! Can Pauline FINALLY beat a guest in a Triviasode?? Or is she doomed to lose another round? Also, Kevin has NO IDEA who Roger Ebert was. Anyone else feel super old?? Listen now to find out other fun facts you didn’t know!

It’s happening! It’s finally happening! The sisters are talking about the hilarious and Brunnen beloved “My Cousin Vinny”. Starring the hilarious Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei (in an Oscar-winning performance), this 90’s courtroom comedy is quoted constantly by Pauline and Lisa and they are both so happy to finally talk about it. Is it worth the rewatch? Yes. You know it’s yes, that was spoiled in the Triviasode, but that just makes the episode all the more fun! So tune in and enjoy!

A minor delay all! Nothing serious, but our next episode will be late by a day. Never fear, the sisters shall return tomorrow with their trademark banter ready and raring to go!

Ok. This is one to watch before the full episode. There’s no question. Spoilers will happen. Quotes will be shared. Laughter will ensue. You better believe that this movie that Pauline FINALLY picked is a good’er.

We’re back! And this week Pauline and Lisa are discussing the romantic dramedy, “Sabrina” starring Harrison Ford, Julia Ormond, and Greg Kinnear. Yes, this 1995 movie really was watched by the sisters when they were kids. Not only did they watch it, they LOVED it and rewatched it constantly when they were young. Is it still compelling? Does it hold up now that they’re adults? How did Pauline sit through a movie without a single action scene? Tune in to find out!
