This week we watched Darren Aronofsky's Mother!
This week we watched Black Swan, Directed by Darren Aronofsky. This was a fantastic movie, The sound was excellent, editing, writing, camera work. Spot on. There were some gross parts, but they were crafted so wonderfully. There were a ton of mirrors in this movie as well, but they were able to hide all of the cameras, it was just weird. This week we watched Traffic, This is a movie that plays with the fundementals of color. There are extreme changes to the white balance in this film, where it switches from very blue to very yellow. Soderbergh was not only the director of this movie, but also the DP. Talking about him being the DP this film is one of the first films to be primarily hand held. Story was good in this movie, it won several awards and Go check it out if you haven't already.
This week we watched Parasite, This is a foreign film, made in South Korea. Won several several awards, thought people were overhyping it since, we've heard so much about it, but nope. It was a fantastic movie, brilliant writing, brilliant video work.. Go check it out if you haven't already
This week we watched Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Directed and written by Martin McDonagh. and starring Frances McDormand, Woody Harelson, and Sam Rockwell. The writing was superb, you couldn't even tell what was going to happen next. this film won many awards, and rightfully so. Actors were amazing, camera, editing, music. Just give it a watch and you can see what we mean.
