In Jesus’ “Parable of the Bags of Gold” or “Parable of the Talents” There is reason to believe that the servant with one talent would have received the same as the others, if he had only acted instead of hiding in fear.

We do not earn our salvation, but as Paul says, we must “continue to work out [our] salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:12b-13).
