We wrap up Psalm 80 in this episode. The tune has changed drastically from our last episode. Instead of being planted and cared for by our Father, we see here that there is fire and wild animals destroying. Do our actions play a role in causing this outcome and what is the Psalmist's request during this time? Can we follow that if we find ourselves in a similar place?

Bringing us to the place we are promised and helping us to take deep root, fill the "land", and have a large sphere of influence. Are you deeply rooted and flourishing in your life? 

We get to start journeying through Psalm 80 in this episode. Here the Psalmist tells us our Father is a Shepherd and leads us like a flock. Then he goes on to ask God to come and have His face shine on his life again. Are we asking God to save us daily and shine His face on our lives? 

We continue through and wrap up Psalm 79 in this episode. Here the question the Psalmist poses is from the heathen asking 'where is God'? What is the response to this and does God use tragic moments to prove His love and care? 

We wrapped up Psalm 78 in our last episode and get to start walking through Psalm 79 in this episode. We see the Psalmist describe a terrible time in Israel. From this experience though, how does he frame his prayer request to God? Is that a way that we should also be framing our prayers to God? 

We learned that our Father is a jealous God in our last episode. How does that affect His actions toward us in this episode? How does He guide those that He chooses and follow after Him even through the tough times? Are you being led in this manner? 

The journey through Psalm 78 continues in this episode. We are told that God brings His people to a place that is as close to heaven as we can get here on earth. But what is the response to this special time? Is it a similar response we have to situations in our lives? 

As we continue walking through Psalm 78, we learn in this episode about the power of our Father. In case we had forgotten what He is able to do, the Psalmist here reminds us of the actions taken against the Egyptians to set the Israelites free. This is then followed by, but God leads His people like a flock of sheep to safety so that they have nothing to fear. How awesome is that? 

We walk through more of Psalm 78 in this episode. It shows us that because of the consequences that were being received for doubting and not following God's law, the people pretended to seek God and follow His will. What was God's response? Are we in our lives living like the Israelites mentioned in this Psalm, in doubt and pretending, or are we living in faith and knowing that our Father is caring actively each day for us. 

The last episode brought us to see the doubt the Israelites had during their time escaping from Egypt and then walking through the desert. Are there moments in your life where you've doubted or questioned God's ability to take care of you? This next part of the chapter tells us about God's abounding provision and care. How can both of us trust in our Father better today and His providing hand in our life?
