Ex FIFA and PRO referee, Ted Unkel, refereed in the MLS from 2012 to 2021 and was listed on the FIFA panel from 2016 to 2021. He discussed various refereeing topics such as VAR, emotions in a match, game management and advice for young referees.

Marcos DeOliveira has been refereeing in the MLS since 2014 when he debuted in a match between the Chicago Fire and Portland Timbers. He came on to discuss various refereeing topics such as fitness, game management and advice for up-and-coming referees.

Pennsylvanian referee Alan Mcintosh has been refereeing youth soccer in the United States since 1999. He spoke about working together as a referee crew, game management, perseverance and advice for young referees.

We spoke with PRO referee, Guido Gonzales Jr, who has been refereeing in the MLS since 2018 and recently was the recipient of the USL Referee Of The Year Award for 2019. He shared some astounding insight into what it's like refereeing in the MLS and the sacrifices he had to make along the way to reach the top level of american soccer.

We invited Ben Glass to come speak with us about his extensive experience as a referee which started in 1974, at the age of 16, refereeing youth, adult and high school matches in Northern Virginia. He provided us with great pieces of practical advice for new referees and we touched on a few other topics like fitness, assignors, getting past mistakes as a referee.
