The Elden Ring DLC announcement finally came and many are combing over the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree image and tweet. While we wait for an actual Elden Ring DLC trailer as well as an Elden Ring DLC release date we will have to speculate what it will add to the game.  I want to walk through the 5 things I want from the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC because I need better reasons to come back than just more bosses and content. This Elden Ring DLC news has the fans all spun up and excited but even the most excited Elden Ring DLC reaction is not rooted in any concrete info. I am excited to finally have some Elden Ring news but the previous Elden Ring update didn't bring me back to the game.   Rise, Tarnished, and let us walk a new path together. The latest info about the Xbox Series S is troubling for those who own the console. Many thought they were looking at a Baldur's Gate 3 PS5 exclusive announcement when the latest Baldurs Gate trailer hit. Once the developers clarified that an Xbox version is coming, they had to explain why it would be an announcement they couldn't make yet.  This is not great Xbox news but for me, it is not surprising at all. I've continued to say that the Xbox Series S is a problem for the future of this generation of console for Microsoft. At this point it is clear that the Xbox Series X vs Xbox Series S comparisons are no longer needed, the console is holding the Series X back.  This entire debate and latest drama started with the Baldur's Gate 3 - Release Date Reveal Trailer and the developers response to news outlets covering it.  This is how Microsoft talks about the console, and it doesn't feel like a next gen console... It seems that we may have Hogwarts Legacy DLC plans confirmed in recent interviews about the game. My 25 plus hours of Hogwarts Legacy gameplay has me excited to see future content and expansion.  If they were to do a Hogwarts Legacy expansion I would welcome more missions or quests and story. Many thought they might do a Hogwarts Legacy sequel but I think it is clear that the game is ripe for ongoing content and maybe even live service. The potential future of the Harry Potter Hogwarts Legacy franchise is massive.  Hogwarts Legacy is an action role-playing game developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Games under its Portkey Games label. The game is set in the Wizarding World universe, based on the Harry Potter novels.

The latest Xbox news looks like we could see less Xbox exclusive games in the future. With the Xbox Activision deal in gaming news headlines right now we are seeing major moves from Microsoft.  There is apparently an Xbox Nintendo deal along with an Xbox Nvidia Geforce Now deal that focuses on the future as well as Call of Duty exclusivity. Phil Spencer and others continue to drive home the fact that they want to put more game sin more places.  Could we see a Starfield Playstation release in the future in light of this?

The latest Diablo 4 beta details are huge and have both good and bad, and many now know when they can play and jump in with the recent announcement of the Diablo 4 beta release date.
