  • Nature, Darkness and Warnings - Video
    Nature, Darkness and Warnings
Ahab, in I Kings 20, was at first willing to give his wives and children (along with all his wealth) to the invader in order to avoid a military conflict. The elders virtually forced him to not do this. God eventually delivered the enemy into his hand. Ahab showed mercy to the invader, which God was furious about, because Ahab was directly violating his command contrary.
The modern US Church often (like Ahab), shows undue mercy instead of obeying God. By disobeying God and doing what we think is the "nice" thing, we create more problems than we solve, and if Ahab is any indication, God isn't happy about it when the US does it too.
