The posture of the child of God is one of sincere reverence. It is the fundamental foundation of the Christian's relationship with the Creator of the Universe and the Redeemer of men's souls. Without such reverence it is doubtful that the individual has ever experienced the New Birth.--This attitude of reverence and homage is not only transferred to the Christian by the Holy Spirit. It is also taught, especially to the children, through the example and discipline of the parents.

The Christian life is one which sees great blessings and great sorrows. Within the community of the Saints, as one body, we share these times together. --This sermon focuses upon one of the sad events of church life, the passing of a loved one. And yet, while deep sorrow accompanies the death of a Saint, there is that silver lining of great joy in the reality of the resurrected Christ and the hope of eternal life to come.
