This week, we welcome Todd Murphy back to the program to discuss his book Pocket Dictionary for the Study of Biblical Hebrew. Todd is the Lead Pastor of Sacred Journey Church in Providence, RI, a church plant of the Christian Reformed Church and Acts 29 Network. Todd is an accomplished Bible teacher with an BA in Biblical studies and MA in Hebrew Bible studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has also taught biblical studies for the department of Philosophy and Religion at Western Kentucky University. He also plans to write a commentary on the Didache.

A discussion on Pietism within American Christianity with Dr. Daniel van Voorhis, the department chair for History and Political Science at Concordia University, Irvine. Dr. van Voorhis received his B.A. in Theology from Concordia University, Irvine and earned his Ph.D in History from the University of St. Andrews (Scotland). at Concordia University, Irvine.

We welcome D.A. Carson to the program this week as we discuss the relationship of Christ and culture and his book Christ and Culture Revisited. Dr. Carson is Research Professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL. Dr. Carson received the Bachelor of Science in chemistry from McGill University, the Master of Divinity from Central Baptist Seminary in Toronto, and the Doctor of Philosophy in New Testament from Cambridge University. Dr. Carson is also the author of The Gagging of God: Christianity Confronts Pluralism, is co-author of God and Culture, and An Introduction to the New Testament

We discuss the subject of the various points on the spectrum of evangelicalism with Dr. Kevin Bauder, one of the authors of the book ?Four Views of the Spectrum of Evangelicalism?. Dr. Bauder?s part deals with fundamentalism. Dr. Bauder is Research Professor of Systematic Theology at Central Baptist Theological Seminary of Minneapolis, MN., editor in chief of The Testimony, moderator of WCTS?s radio program, At Issue, and served as president of the seminary from 2003-2011. Dr. Bauder received his B.A. from Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa; his M.Div. from Denver Baptist Theological Seminary in Broomfield, Colorado; his Th.M. from Denver Baptist Theological Seminary in Broomfield, Colorado; his D.Min. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois; and his Ph.D. in Systematic and Historical Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary

This week, we welcome Dr. Cornelius Venema to the broadcast as we discuss his book Christ and the Future. Dr. Venema served as pastor of the Christian Reformed Church of Ontario, California, and now serves as President of the Mid-America Reformed Seminary. Dr. Venema is also author of Heinrich Bullinger and the Doctrine of Predestination: Author of “The Other Reformed Tradition”?, Accepted and Renewed in Christ: The “Twofold Grace of God” and the Interpretation of Calvin’s Theology, But for the Grace of God: An Exposition of the Canons of Dort, and What We Believe: An Exposition of the Apostles’ Creed. Dr. Venema is a co-editor and frequent contributor to The Outlook and the Mid-America Journal of Theology.

A look at the life of the Apostle Paul is featured tonight as we have as our guest Robert Ventura, co-author (with Jeremy Walker) of the book A Portrait Of Paul: Identifying a True Minister of Christ. Rob Ventura is Pastor of Grace Community Baptist Church in North Providence, RI, and is a graduate of Reformed Baptist Seminary He is the editor of the Scriptural and Systematic Studies Series. Rob has also written for Reformation 21, the on-line magazine of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals. Rob also is the creator of the new blog called www.books2look4.wordpress.com

This week, we welcome Dr. Michael A. Milton to the program, and we will be discussing his book Songs In the Night: How God Transforms Our Pain to Praise. Dr. Milton accepted the call to become the President and Professor of Practical Theology of Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte on November 1, 2007, after serving as 12th Senior Pastor of the historic First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Dr. Milton is also the host and speaker on Faith for Living: an Outreach Ministry of Michael Milton and Reformed Theological Seminary, and is also the author of Small Things, Big Things: Inspiring Stories of God’s Everyday Grace, What is the Doctrine of the Perseverance of the Saints, and Hit by Friendly Fire: What to do when you are hurt by other believers. Dr. Milton received his M.Div. from Knox Theological Seminary, sand his Ph. D from University of Wales, Lampeter.

A look at competing views of the Sabbath with Christopher John Donato, editor of Perspective On the Sabbath: Four Views. Chris is Communications director at Trinity International University and is former senior associate editor of Tabletalk magazine. Chris received his MA from Reformed Theological Seminary and his BS (Journalism) and BA (English Literature) from John Brown University.

The incredible grace of Christ is explored as we welcome Dane Ortlund on the program, author of Defiant Grace: The Surprising Message and Mission of Jesus. Dane serves as Senior Editor in the Bible Division at Crossway Books in Wheaton, Illinois. He is the author of A New Inner Relish: Christian Motivation in the Thought of Jonathan Edwards.
