Refund Theater

Well guys... this is it. We have avoided this franchise for all of these years here on Refund Theater, but one can't outrun the reaper..... he will always come. It's THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS!!!

Just as the torch burns low in the darkest of night the masters of horror faded with time. It's not that they stopped making movies, it just seems that maybe they lost their spark. Take this weeks movie for example, by all means this should have been an easy movie for Tobe Hooper to make. But after seeing the terrible ADR, CGI, and some poor girls ASS it is very clear that Hooper stopped working overtime long before his ultimate demise. So kick back and try to enjoy a movie that tries to enjoy itself enjoying it's mediocrity. It's CROCODILE!!!

This week we review the movie you should show anybody who questions Adam Sandler’s talent. It’s a classic life swap movie in which one unlikeable actress showcases her range and plays two (possibly three!) unlikeable characters. It's boring, it's unpredictable (but not at all in a good way), it's insulting to the form, it's what Netflix chooses to do with our money, and it's the real reason TJ Miller was canceled! It’s THE STAND-IN!!!

It's been 24 years since us MK fans were graced with a sorry excuse for a sequel to a decent but neutered movie adaptation. But anyone who cared has not given up hope after all this time that the brand could possibly be redeemed. Depending on who you talk to, that time has come. While some may argue that there is still much to improve upon we can all agree that this is a vast improvement on the past. Will this be a flawless victory? Or will we send it to the bottom of the pit for a fatality? It's MORTAL KOMBAT!!!

This is a podcast about bad movies. Sometimes we forget about our roots and actually want to watch good movies. Our dear listener Jeff decided that we were a bit too comfortable and needed an upheaval. So with a generous donation he tells us to watch this weeks selection. Back in the day movie studios would commit to making outrageous gross out movies by visionary creators for very little profit and we were all better for it. This film may not have changed the world, but if you let this wet dog boy in from the rain he will make you a very fun little companion. So get ready to see what Bill and Ted felt like doing after their bogus journey, it's FREAKED!!!

The showdown of the century is here and we've got a front row seat! Normally we would be making a joke about how these "monster" movies sure do spend a lot of time on humans. But this time they might have done something right! But hey it isn't perfect, and that's what we're here for. So pull up a ringside seat to see which one of these giant creatures hits the other one hardest only to become friends and fight the real monster.... us. It's GODZILLA VS. KONG!!!
