  • Episode 11. Retrospective
Chaz and Wolfie come back to the mic clean and showered and a few weeks removed from the last brush with the 2011 album Lulu by Lou Reed and Metallica, after having spent 4 months listening to all ten tracks. Join the boys and a panel of very special guests, who themselves have completed the listening journey - yes folks - living proof of the two listeners we spoke of so fondly...including fifth-Beatle of the Regarding...Series, Sullyman himself, zooming in from blue-meth capital of the US, New Mexico, along with Jonatan Hedlin of Deep Dive Podcast Network Fame - cohost of MAIDEN A-Z, the podcast that is an alphabetical journey through the Iron Maiden catalog; and SO FAR, SO POD...SO WHAT the all-things Megadeth Podcast, who's dialing in from 3 miles outside Stockholm, Sweeden - not too far from the Brandenburg Gate, where we all wax nostalgic as --- SMALL TOWN GIRLS!!! --- and start where we started so many months ago, by "dropping the needle" for our non-stop listen through all 1 hour and 27 minutes of the album Lulu, for what we're pretty sure is a special, one-of a kind, Disney Blue Ray event that will never be repeated again in our lifetimes - an International Lulu Listening Party. Join us for what we said we'd never do - put Lulu on and party!! And while it's probably best spoken of in hushed whispers at late night cocktail after-parties in well lou-bricated and mixed company, we all share on where we were when this journey started, where we ended up, some profound personal insights learned along the way, comparing scars, impressions, the experience and the outcome. What's a masterpiece, how is art consumed versus experienced, and...was that any fucking good or not? Judge for yourself - join us as we go through the highlights and lowlights and get to a new level of insights about ourselves and our ability to appreciate challenging art. The CODA of the Regarding...Series Season 1. We also announce season 2 of the Regarding...Series. Just kidding...While yes, our co-hosts question their sanity as well as that of those that listen to this aural escapade, they're eager to dive into the track this week, track 9 of 10, the 11:08 epic Dragon. Many insights have been gained from the recent interviews with Laurie Anderson and Lars Ulrich, and many of the open questions our co-hosts have had start to get answered from people that were in it and there. • Episode 8. Little Dog

Chaz & Wolfie are all in on this track off the 2001 album Lulu by Lou Reed and Metallica. Being hep to the Lulu plays that were Lou Reed's source inspiration, our co-hosts think they've figured out the character portrait of Little Dog. And while they're probably right, we also know there's a lot more going on in these lyrics than is immediately identifiable. So hike up your shorts, do the Chicken Wing dance, grab a plate of boneless wings with some Nando's Perri Perri sauce, and join us for a mouth watering episode that'll have you running your tongue over the hot-in-trot nearest you!

  • Episode 7. Frustration
Chaz and Wolfie find themselves on the homestretch in their aural adventures with the 2011 album Lulu by Lou Reed and Metallica, with this, the seventh track from the album, an 8 minute plus banger called Frustration. The clouds part, the heavens open, and you get a vision of what could have been a truly fulfilled vision for what Lou Reed categorized as a no-brainer collaboration between him and the biggest metal band in the world, Metallica. This song is the knowledge he had that there was something very powerful there. This one feels more finished and worthy of a fan's time. But is it enough to get Chaz and Wolfie thinking Bowie was right, that this is Lou's masterpiece, or was he wanking someones chain? Join us as we slather some Nando's Peri-Peri sauce our headphones, grab a plate of boneless wings, and swim into a rather spermless character study from the Lulu plays, on this, a not so very Hallmark edition of Regarding Lulu.

  • Episode 6. Cheat On Me
Wolfie & Chaz listen to all 11:26 of Cheat On Me, the 6th track off Lulu, the 2011 album by Lou Reed and Metallica. This marks "hump-episode" plus one, in that we've cleared the halfway mark in listening to the album track-by-bloody-track. This cut left our hosts in awe of their own ability to not run screaming from this assignment. If ever there was an episode to skip, this is it. What a stinker! Wow - we wouldn't wish this session on our worst enemies. Just kidding - or are they? A song with a lot of interesting twists and turns and off-key, nut-curling, "wtf were they thinking" back-up vocals. The song almost gets someplace...a couple of times. But our co-hosts are left just wanting more...chicken. Lots of chicken talk and a healthy dose of digression make for an average length episode with a big payload at the end of that order of Rocky Mountain Oysters. Join us for a sloppy plate of bison balls on a very fried-out episode of Regarding Lulu.

  • Episode 5. Iced Honey

Wolfie & Chaz dive into track 5 from the 2011 album Lulu by Lou Reed and Metallica, and man oh manischewitz, is it a masterbanger of epic proportions - at least as far as Lou's catalog goes. Join us as we take in the last two weeks of Metallica 72 Seasons news, the band's newfound transparency regarding their love, admiration, forgiveness and support of one another, and a track that took us by surprise. And did we figure out who Lou is on this track?? We're left wanting more, like a honey pot in search of a...of a what?? Where?? Join us for a confusing and finger licking track from Lulu on a very special, hallmark, crown royal and flu-tastic episode of Regarding Lulu. Don't forget the Peri Peri sauce.

  • Episode 4. Mistress Dread
This episode finds Wolfie and Chaz on track number 4, Mistress Dread, from Lulu, the 2011 album by Lou Reed and Metallica. It would be a lie to say this song didn’t leave our co-hosts feeling an urgent need to get clean as soon as the last note faded. Join us for what can only be described as an “aural incident”, on a very indecent episode. And if you like the podcast, please leave us a review to help us grow!!

  • Episode 3. Pumping Blood
Wolfie and Chaz dive into the NEWS of the past 2 weeks - and "WOW!!" in fact there was Lulu news to report!! A new Lou Reed book, a new Lou Reed single, Metallica in the news discussing how well Lulu has aged - what an incredible coincidence!! So much more context for us to inform our listening of the album. And we put it to use immediately, as we take a hard listen to the third track from the 2011 album Lulu by Lou Reed and Metallica, Pumping Blood. The art starts to reveal more direct ties to the source Lulu plays, but Loutallica throws our hosts for a loop, leaving them wondering, "where the hell can this go from here??" May be a hard episode from some to swallow...

  • Episode 2. The View
Chaz and Wolfie visit on the news of the week, which is our inclusion in The Deep Dive Podcasting Network, Metallica's new song from their upcoming album 72 Seasons and James Hetfield's next obvious collaboration, this time with Peter Dinklage. In our main feature, we take a "more fairer" and balanced look at all this and the second track from the 2011 album Lulu by Lou Reed and Metallica, called The View. This track kicked us in the nuts, not in a bad way. A track slaying with metal brutality, in the vein of the heaviest of Sabbath-drenched riffs...ever. Is the tide turning on the opinion into the album overall?? It's probably too early to tell, but the podcast is picking up steam with a meaty track up on the carving table...with a side of Swiss punkers The Lombego Surfers from Basel, Switzerland. Tony Thomas and the boys fry some kick-ass, surf-side garage punk right in your face. Join us for what hench shall be known as the "Zep II of RegardingLulu," on this very special episode of RegardingLulu.
