At the end of 2022, our host, Brooke Speight, took a trip to Dubai for the Partner Innovation Meeting. While she was there, she caught up with Timo Elliott, VP, Global Innovation Evangelist to talk about the technological advancements SAP’s partners can look forward to in 2023 and beyond. She also spoke with Marc Haberland, CEO at SAP Platinum Partner, Clariba SEIDOR about living and leading a business in the Middle East.

This time around, Brooke sits down with Çiğdem Bağbakan from SAP Gold Partner Solvia Digital Solutions to talk about a more sensitive topic. In an honest chat, Çiğdem shares her experiences with the economic and political instability in Turkey, as well as revealing how Solvia has differentiated themselves in the Cloud business space since the business was set up 10 years ago.

Brooke is joined by Esperanza Valbuena, VP of Mid-Market Digital Sales in EMEA South.

Esperanza chats about work culture, how to recruit and retain the best young talent and gives us an insight into the Barcelona digital hub, which is home to SAP employees of more than 20 nationalities.

Paula Warmer, SAP’s Senior Director of Strategic Communications in EMEA south joined Brooke to give her thoughts on how the workplace has changed and how she has successfully managed her career and being a Mum, while still finding time for her own health and wellbeing.

We'll do our best to try and ease some of the anxieties and challenges that we're all facing during these turbulent times.

In episode 1, new host, Brooke Speight, heads to South Africa to meet Mike Hartman, Managing Director for Africa at SAP partner, G3G. Mike talks about load shedding, the NGO, Elephants, Rhinos and People (ERP) and what doing business sensitively means to him. We also hear about the challenges of staying engaged with your staff in a time of remote working.

In the sixth and final episode of Season 1 of Reset, we round off the season in Portugal with Luis Urmal Carrasqueira, General Manager for SAP Portugal. We get the opportunity to hear Luis in conversation with Nuno Figueiredo, one of the co-founders of SAP Gold Partner, Abaco Consulting. They discuss how Abaco successfully adapted to remote selling at the start of the pandemic. Now that the impact of Covid-19 on working practices is stabilising, we hear how they are looking to build on those learnings. We also look to the future as SAP and Partners intensify the Cloud Focus in 2022.

For our fifth episode of Reset, we head to Israel to speak to Yoav Ventura, Founder and Managing Partner of AKT, one of the largest SAP Cloud People Solutions consultancies in the EMEA region, and Yael Chopra, VP of HR at Rivulis Irrigation.

Around this interview, we also catch up with Stavit Navon, SAP’s Managing Director for Israel to hear how she has pivoted and adapted the way the business is operating since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
