If imperfect people give good gifts, how much more will the One who is perfect respond—so why hesitate to keep asking? Seek the Lord in prayer daily. He is faithful to respond.

Jesus warns against hypocritical judgment, reminding people to first address their own faults before criticizing others. He illustrates this with the image of someone trying to remove a speck from another’s eye while ignoring the plank in their own. Similarly, Paul teaches in Romans that believers should not despise or condemn one another over disputable matters, since each person is accountable to God. Reflect on whether your acts of faith are truly about honoring God or simply about being seen by others.

In Matthew 5:38-48, Jesus calls His followers to abandon retaliation and instead practice radical kindness, even toward enemies. By encouraging love that extends beyond personal circles and reflecting God’s boundless mercy, He presents a way of living that surpasses ordinary cultural expectations. What might happen within us and around us if we chose to love in this extraordinary way?

In Matthew 5:31-37, Jesus calls His followers to honor the covenant of marriage with faithfulness and integrity, teaching that divorce and oaths should not be treated lightly.
