  • How the Rosary Helped Me Overcome Pornography | In Conversation with Joshua Charles (Eternal Christendom)

“I never, ever, in a million years thought that would be possible.”

Joshua Charles, founder and president of Eternal Christendom, shares his deeply personal testimony of overcoming pornography addiction through the power of the daily Rosary.

In this episode of REGINA UNSCRIPTED – IN CONVERSATION, Katherine Bennett and Mark Lambert welcome Joshua Charles for a remarkable discussion about his journey from Protestantism to Catholicism, the transformative power of prayer, and the importance of remaining faithful to the Church through times of difficulty and scandal.

Joshua speaks candidly about his former struggles with pornography and impurity. Before entering the Catholic Church in 2019, a priest encouraged him to begin praying the Rosary every day, assuring him that it would help him overcome these sins.

Joshua took that advice on 1 January 2019. He explains how, through the intercession of Our Lady and a growing commitment to the sacramental life, he experienced a transformation he once believed impossible.

But his conversion was about much more than overcoming personal struggles.

Raised as a Protestant with a deep love of Scripture, Joshua began questioning the theological divisions within Protestant Christianity. His search for truth eventually led him to the writings of the early Church Fathers, where he discovered the historical and theological foundations of the Catholic Church.

The conversation also explores the challenges facing Catholics today, including the pontificate of Pope Leo XIV, the importance of reverence in the liturgy, and how Catholics should respond to scandal, confusion and suffering within the Church.

Drawing on the wisdom of St Augustine, St Gregory the Great and the early Church Fathers, Joshua offers a powerful reminder that fidelity to Christ also means fidelity to His Church, even when that Church is suffering.

    IN THIS EPISODE:

    • Joshua Charles' conversion from Protestantism to Catholicism
    • His personal struggle with pornography and how the Rosary changed his life
    • Why he began praying the Rosary every day in 2019
    • The intercession of Our Lady and the importance of Marian devotion

  • Can Pope Leo XIV Unite a Divided Church? | In Conversation with Prof. Jacob Phillips

    “This is the real thing.”

Can Pope Leo XIV bring unity to a divided Catholic Church? And are we witnessing the beginnings of a genuine Catholic revival?

In this episode of REGINA UNSCRIPTED – IN CONVERSATION, Kathryn Bennett and Mark Lambert are joined by Professor Jacob Phillips, Professor of Systematic Theology at St Mary's University, Twickenham, for a wide-ranging discussion about the future of the Catholic Church, the papacy and the challenges facing Catholics today.

Reflecting on Pope Leo XIV's recent visit to France, Jacob describes the extraordinary sight of tens of thousands of Catholics joining the Holy Father in singing the Salve Regina. For him, it was a powerful reminder of what Catholicism looks like when the Church is united in faith, prayer and devotion.

But what does this moment tell us about the new pontificate? Can Pope Leo bring together Catholics divided over tradition, doctrine and the legacy of Pope Francis? And what might his quieter, more measured approach mean for the future of the Church?

The conversation also explores the signs of renewed interest in Catholicism, particularly among younger generations, and the importance of recovering a confident Catholic identity in an increasingly secular society.

Turning to some of the most difficult moral questions of our time, Jacob reflects on assisted dying, human suffering and the Catholic understanding that life possesses a meaning and order beyond our own choosing.

Throughout the discussion, the theological legacy of Joseph Ratzinger provides an important point of reference as the hosts consider how the Church can remain faithful to its traditions while responding to the modern world.

    IN THIS EPISODE:

    • Pope Leo XIV's visit to France and the extraordinary scenes of Catholic devotion
    • Can Pope Leo XIV unite a divided Church?
    • The differences between Pope Leo XIV and Pope Francis
    • Why the office of the papacy matters more than personality
    • Catholic tradition, orthodoxy and Church unity

  • Can You Trust The Bible? | Your Big Questions Answered

Can we really trust the Bible? Was it written hundreds of years after Jesus? Have centuries of translations distorted its meaning? And is there any historical evidence that Jesus Christ actually rose from the dead?

In this episode of Your Big Questions Answered, we examine one of the most fundamental questions of Christianity: Is the Bible historically reliable?

Drawing on the work of leading biblical scholars Richard Bauckham, Brant Pitre and N. T. Wright, we explore the remarkable evidence behind the Gospels, from eyewitness testimony and archaeological discoveries to the Jewish world of Jesus and the earliest accounts of the Resurrection.

We investigate some of the most common objections to the Bible: that its stories were invented generations later, that the Gospels are anonymous legends, and that the Resurrection was simply a myth that developed over time.

But this isn't just a question about ancient manuscripts. If the Bible really does preserve trustworthy testimony about Jesus Christ, what does that mean for our understanding of God, suffering, happiness and the purpose of human life?

    In this episode, we explore:

Were the Gospels based on eyewitness accounts?

What does archaeology reveal about the historical accuracy of the Bible?

How does understanding first-century Judaism change the way we read Jesus' teachings?

What is the earliest evidence for the Resurrection?

Could the disciples have invented the story of Jesus rising from the dead?

Has the Bible been corrupted through centuries of translation?

What does the Bible actually teach us about happiness and the meaning of life?

Christianity doesn't ask us to abandon reason or ignore historical evidence. It invites us to investigate.

Because perhaps the most important question isn't simply whether we can trust the Bible.

It's this: What if it's true?

Welcome to Regina Unscripted: Your Big Questions Answered, where we explore the biggest questions about Catholicism, Christianity, faith and the modern world.

  • Is a Catholic Revival beginning? | In Conversation with Natalie Sonnen (Regina Magazine)

    Is a Catholic revival underway?

In this episode of Regina Unscripted: In Conversation, Katherine Bennett and Mark Lambert are joined by Natalie, as they ask why increasing numbers of people appear to be looking again at the Catholic Church.

Across Britain, Europe and the United States, there are signs of renewed interest in Catholicism — from growing conversion classes and young people discovering the faith, to a wider hunger for tradition, community and something deeper than the culture around them.

Natalie describes the moment as potentially being on the cusp of a “tsunami of conversions”. But what is actually drawing people back? And is what we are seeing the beginning of a genuine Catholic revival?

The conversation explores the appeal of the Church in an increasingly uncertain culture, the importance of beauty and tradition, and the surprising ways people encounter the faith. They also discuss what Catholics can do to welcome those arriving at the doors of the Church — and why authentic Catholic community matters more than ever.

As ever with In Conversation, the discussion ranges more widely too: from family life and Catholic identity to devotion to Our Lady, the importance of prayer, and the need for Catholics to support one another in living the faith.

    In this episode:

    • Are we witnessing the beginnings of a Catholic revival?
    • Why people are coming back to Catholicism
    • The growth of conversion and formation classes
    • Signs of renewal in Britain, Europe and America
    • A coming “tsunami of conversions”?
    • What is attracting younger people to the Church?
    • Beauty, tradition and the search for meaning
    • Why Catholic community matters
    • Welcoming converts into the life of the Church
    • Family, faith and Catholic identity
    • Our Lady, prayer and the spiritual life
    • Where the Catholic revival could go next

Regina Unscripted: In Conversation brings together Catholics from different backgrounds for open, thoughtful and genuinely unscripted conversations about faith, culture and the life of the Church.
