The Expansion of Virtual Events and How it Will Impact Your Business!

Change, taxes, and death are inevitable. Your business must embrace change or become extinct.  Virtual events are here to stay, even when the pandemic ends events will now include a virtual element. CES, formerly the Consumer Electronics Show which has been held in Las Vegas took a major step on Monday by hosting it first-ever 100% virtual event. With an annual attendance of 170,000 to 180,000 it’s expecting 150,000 this week virtually. And of course, the event will not be held on Zoom, Zoom is for meetings and webinars. It will be held on one of the next level platforms that allow for, main stage speakers and presentations, breakout sessions, one-on-one networking and exhibitor booths all happening simultaneously. They had 4,400 physical exhibitors in 2020 and expect over 1,000 digital exhibitors this week in 2021. Oh, times have changed.

What are the next-level platforms? They are platforms like HopIn, which host events and conferences. HopIn is the world’s leading virtual event platform where attendees can learn, interact, and connect with people from anywhere in the world. The financial world understands this and it raised $125 million dollars during the pandemic. Hopin’s valuation went from 30 million to more than $2 billion dollars.

Hopin and Zoom are different because Hopin is Zoom on steroids. Hopin provides a reception area, the main stage for speakers and presentations, breakout sessions, one-on-one networking, and exhibitor booths all simultaneously. Zoom is great for up to 50 people, but Hopin is for scaling up to 100,000. There are many platform options out there besides Hopin and every business that hosts events, conferences, and summits, provides personal interaction, and at scale, just like a physical convention center.
