Dr. Gadbois has only been at Clarinda Regional Health Center for about six weeks.  Dr. Gadbois is a Illinois transplant who has a very diverse background and was even a licensed Carpenter at one point in her life.  Listen to her interview with the Breakfast Club here.

RaeAnn Tucker from the Henry and Stark County Health Department joined Wake Up Tri-Counties to talk about the Environmental Services Department. It's summer and festivals are all over Henry and Stark County. The Health Department is reminding vendors to make sure they contact the Health Department for licensing and inspections at least 4 days before a planned event where food is set to be sold to the public. RaeAnn Tucker stated that as much as this is meant to protect the public, and that is the main goal, these licensing and inspections are also a benefit to businesses to help make sure they are fully aware of the regulations that they need to meet to be a public food seller.

Today on Wake Up Tri-Counties we welcomed Cassandra Schmoll from the Henry County Senior Center. Cassandra Schmoll joined us to talk about a new support group funded by the state of Illinois and held at the Henry County Senior Center. Stressbusters is a support group for caregivers for family members with Alzheimers and Dementia. If you are a caregiver, you can be part of the Stressbusters support group for a supportive place to talk, a place to get advice from people in the same position, and expert help from other caregivers. Sparks chats with Emma Whitaker, the 2022 Hancock County Fair Queen about her experience with the Miss Hancock County Illinois Fair Queen Pageant. as well as how her position as Fair Queen has helped her grow and make new connections with businesses and citizens in Hancock County.

The Swedish-American combo, 7000Apart are heading to Galva for the Levitt Amp Galva Music Series this Sunday. Amelie and Jon met in High School and survived a long distance relationship, Green Bay to Sweden, to end up getting married and forming their band. They also survived the pandemic which slowed their momentum a little but also taught them about how to navigate the new world of the music industry. Their music is incredible, described by them as the kind of music you're invited to sing along with. 7000Apart will in Wiley Park this Sunday, May 28th, at the Levitt Amp Galva Music Series and we were happy to chat with them on WKEI today.
