The Henry County Board met on Thursday night and today on Wake Up Tri-Counties we caught up with Henry County Board Chair Kippy Breeden and Henry County Administrator Erin Knackstedt. In our conversation, Kippy Breeden went through the items covered on the agenda with a presentation by Henry County State's Attorney Catherine Runty being one item that was spotlighted. Work to hire more attorneys for the office of the Henry County State's Attorney's Office. Erin Knackstedt talked about recruiting more attorney's and about other jobs available with Henry County.

Bailey Ferguson from Maryville Parks & Rec visited the Breakfast Club to talk about the  tons of summer events for not only kids but for the whole family! Bailey has come up with all the events you will hear about!

People at high risk can now get another COVID-19 Booster shot. As announced by the FDA this week, a new round of COVID-19 booster is recommended for people at high risk for COVID-19. People with chronic conditions or people over the age of 65 have the option to get a Bivalent COVID-19 Booster shot starting next week at the Henry and Stark County Health Department. Meanwhile. the Health Department is headed to Geneseo next week for an event at the Geneseo Public Library. The Health Department's 12 Communities in 12 Months program is in Geneseo a week from Friday with health information for kids and families, COVID-19 testing kits and more. Finally, next week is Lab Week and you can make an appointment to get needed lab tests done next week for only $50.00 at First Choice Healthcare Clinic inside the Henry and Stark County Health Department.

Sparks chats with Nick Knowles, the CEO for the YMCA of McDonough County about their upcoming Pasta Palooza fundraiser, coming up on May 4th from 4 to 7pm at the American Legion Post 6 Hall in Macomb.
