On Sunday, OSF Saint Luke Medical Center and OSF Saint Clare Medical Center began celebrating Doctors Week. All this week on social media and at each hospital, OSF Healthcare will be celebrating doctors. From your general surgeons to your family practice doctors to those who give their time to be a tele-hospitalist, this week is dedicated to those who have worked hard to become healers. Doctors Week at OSF Healthcare will celebrate all doctors and give you the chance to celebrate your favorite doc on social media. Keep an eye out for your doctor to be featured on OSF Saint Luke and OSF Saint Clare's social media.

Kewanee Kiwanis Pancake Day is set for April 6th at the Kewanee United Methodist. Kiwanis Pancake Day is a tradition over 70 years and it continues to be the most important fundraiser of the year for Kewanee Kiwanis. Jolene Efnor and Samantha Rux joined Wake Up Tri-Counties this morning to talk about Pancake Day, what it means for the community, and how it helps kids learn about serving their community. This year, for $10.00, you can pick up, dine in, or drive thru for your Pancake Day breakfast, starting at 7 AM.

The Boiler Shop is our brand new Kewanee sports show featuring the voice of the Kewanee Boilermakers, Russ Hughes. This week, Russ and Sean are talking about a historic moment in local basketball with both, Kewanee and Wethersfield seeking a new Head Basketball Coach. Recently Coach Matt Clark and Coach Tom McGunnigall, stepped down, resigning their positions as Coach of Kewanee and Wethersfield Head Basketball Coaches. Then Russ recounted the week that was in Kewanee Baseball, Softball, and Track. It's all part of The Boiler Shop every Friday at 8:40 AM on WKEI.

The Director of the Kewanee Park District, Andrew Dwyer, joined Wake Up Tri-Counties to talk about upcoming events with the Kewanee Park District. These include weekend events for Easter and the upcoming sign up for Baseball. Last season, more than 350 kids played baseball with the Kewanee Park District and more are expected to play this year. Then, we closed our conversation with the Director of Kewanee Parks  by talking about the long term strategic plan for the Kewanee Park District which includes several improvements coming this year and several long term goals going beyond this year.
