So sorry we were gone again- but we're back!

While we were gone, D23 happened, so we talk a fair bit about that! Ashley also talks about The Emmys.

Joe talks about Cobra Kai, and why it's the show he's not sure why he's still watching.

Ashley takes us back to the Reality Corner.

We talk about the things we've been watching with our 7 year old (like She-Hulk: Attorney at Law), and the things he wants to watch (anime!).

And we also talk a little about The Rings of Power.

We have very little news, talk about retconning, mostly about what Ashley watched, and a couple of things that we watched together (and, also, trying out a new way to write the description, let's see how this goes):

NEWS

•  Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Director of Shang-Chi)
• We talk about The Duffer Brothers (NOT The Duff Brothers) editing past episodes of Stranger Things, and how we feel about Directors retconning their content in general (and, specifically, George Lucas with Star Wars). And is it the same as a Director's Cut?
• Joe sent Ashley a tiktok about Thor: Love and Thunder being a visual retelling by Korg, so we talk about that, as well!
• Finally, Joe talks more about the Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves trailer.

WHAT JOE WATCHED

•  Nothing on his own (other than the old Dungeons and Dragons movie, which he talked about a little in the NEWS segment)
• Then he remembered he is rewatching some episodes of Good Eats

WHAT ASHLEY WATCHED

•  Virgin River Season 4 (she finally decided she likes it!)
• The Bachelorette Season 19 and FBoy Island
• Ru Paul's Drag Race All Stars All Winners (and going back and watching all the seasons)
• Victoria's Secret: Angels and Demons on Hulu

WHAT WE WATCHED TOGETHER

•  We started a re-watch of The Big Bang Theory
• Everything Everywhere All at Once (We apologize in advance for butchering names and will do better in the future)
• The Orville: New Horizons (The Orville Season 3), up to episode 9

AND WE'RE BACK! So sorry it's been awhile, life and other things got in the way, but we are back and talking about so many things!

• And some minimal news about Phase 6: Fantastic 4; Avengers:The Kang Dynasty; and Avengers: Secret Wars (and all the things we didn't talk about at length like the animated series)
• (We also talk briefly about our hopes for what else might be in Phase 6, which will be announced during D23)

• Picard Season 2 ending
• Ms. Marvel Season 1
• Obi-Wan Kenobi

Spoiler Alert: We loved Moon Knight!

As always we hit upon the news that matters to us: the final Top Gun: Maverick trailer; The Ultimatum on Netflix; Bruce Willis stepping away from acting (and we take a few minutes to talk about how much we love him); and Obi-Wan Kenobi release date pushed back two days (but we get two episodes instead of one).

Ashley watched: RuPaul's Drag Race; Secrets of Playboy; and Season 2 of Bridgerton.

Joe watched: The Ip Man movies; Into the Badlands Season 3; Shanghai Noon; and Once Upon a Time In Hollywood (and thoughts on Quentin Tarantino).

Then Ashley talks about The Oscars (no, not THAT).

Then we discuss what we watched together: Toy Galaxy on Youtube's video "The Most Beloved Comic? How and Why Calvin and Hobbes Disappeared" and Dear Mr. Watterson on Amazon Prime (and our love of Calvin and Hobbes; Transformers: BotBots; Turning Red; This is Us Season 6 Episode 10 - Every Version of You; Moon Knight Season 1 Episode 1 - The Goldfish Problem (and a bit of a discussion on Ethan Hawke's past remarks on Marvel); Halo Season 1 Episode 2 - Unbound (and their disappointment in this episode); and Picard Season 2 Episode 5 - Fly Me to the Moon.
