The Lord Jesus said in Acts 1:8 that the Believers will receive power because of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, this shows that the Holy Spirit in the life of the Believer is the factor of power. If you have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you (ye) have received the power (miracle working ability) of God into your life. You need to use the power, that is all you need to do: USE THE POWER. A good example of using the power is found in Acts 3 when the Apostles Peter and John healed a man impotent in his feet. Peter said "such as I have...", he acknowledged that he received the power of God when the Holy Spirit came upon him, then he engaged the power when he said "In the name of Jesus of Nazareth rise up and walk". After the man was healed, the people around marvelled at the miracle, then Peter said it is not our power or holiness (right conduct) that healed him. What Peter was saying is, it is the power of the Holy Spirit that we received, and the holiness of Jesus given to us (when we became Born Again that made this possible). Peter did not generate the power, all he did was to use the power (with a sense of oneness with it) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the power of the Holy Spirit in us that guarantees that the sick will be healed when we give the command in Jesus name. It is very important to note that this power is for living life, not only for ministry assignment because the forces of evil trying to resist us are called principalities and powers, but the power of God in us destroys all their gimmicks and tactics (because Jesus, to whom all power in heaven and in earth is given already defeated them), and we have received that power in the Person of the Holy Spirit. USE THE POWER! USE THE POWER!! USE THE POWER!!! AMEN.

The New Creature is a product of the New Covenant in Christ Jesus, as such the Believer must carefully study the terms and conditions of the New Covenant/Testament. The Holy Spirit has been given to the Believer to establish us in the ways of the New Covenant.

Believer's must understand and appreciate the ministry of the Holy Spirit of God to us and in us. The Holy Spirit is the only Person who can bring us into the intimate knowledge of God's Nature and ways; without the Holy Spirit, the Believer is left guessing and wondering about the who, what, why, when and how of the things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9 "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (10) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (11) For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God." If any man be in Christ, he/she is a New Creature: the new creature is the product of the New Covenant God established in Jesus Christ. The New Creature is designed to live in, by and under the New Covenant in Christ Jesus; it therefore becomes imperative that the New Creature (Born Again person) learns the truth of the New Covenant (Testament) and respond to it by faith. Here is the term of the New Covenant in Christ Jesus: Hebrews 8:10-13

[10]For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their minds, even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding, and engrave them upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

[11]And it will nevermore be necessary for each one to teach his neighbor and his fellow citizen or each one his brother, saying, Know (perceive, have knowledge of, and get acquainted by experience with) the Lord, for all will know Me, from the smallest to the greatest of them.

[12]For I will be merciful and gracious toward their sins and I will remember their deeds of unrighteousness no more. [Jer. 31:31-34.]

[13]When God speaks of a new [covenant or agreement], He makes the first one obsolete (out of use). And what is obsolete (out of use and annulled because of age) is ripe for disappearance and to be dispensed with altogether. (AMPLIFIED BIBLE)

If any man be in Christ, he/she is a new creature, that means there is an old creature but the man (gender irrespective) in is no longer that old creature. We must come face to face with this truth and embrace it wholeheartedly. The challenge with a lot of us Believers is that, we are trying to improve the old creature instead of embracing the new and letting the old go by renewing our minds to the newness of life. We must receive graciously the God's testimony concerning the new Life we possess in Christ Jesus. OUR CHRISTIAN FAITH BEGINS WITH BELIEVING THE NEWNESS OF LIFE... and not trying to improve the old one. Enjoy listening... 😇

God's greatest achievement in Christ Jesus is the New Creature/Creation (the born-again person/the new man in Christ Jesus). Our Christian faith ought to begin with the finished works of Christ and be sustained by the same. God has not called us to finish the work of redemption but to walk in the finished work of redemption by the faith of Jesus Christ. Quit struggling and failing in yourself, begin to put your trust in God's workmanship in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Colossians 2:10 "And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power". This message is the part of a series dedicated to helping the believer understand what his/her focus ought to be in the faith - Christ, from beginning to end.

In Christ Jesus we have received God's very own Life in our spirit; this Life is called Zoe life (The God Kind of Life). It is full of all the realities and possibilities in God: His Righteousness, His Holiness; His Love; Graciousness and so on, it is this Life that identifies the recipient as a child of God. God intend for us to grow in the knowledge of His Life in us, until that Life and its nature and character dominate us. This message seeks to point our (believers') attention to practical steps that will ensure our development in the Life of God in our spirit through READING, STUDYING, MEDITATING, CONFESSION (Profession of faith), DOING WHAT GOD'S WORD SAYS, and also taking advantage of the resources God has place in Christian communities - CHURCH. In the first part of this message the preacher seeks to help believers build into their daily routine Godly practices that will establish them in the Divine Life. 😇

God has made a provision to mitigate against human suffering, this provision is part and parcel of the redemptive work of Christ Jesus in His passion (Isaiah 53:1-5; Matthew 8:16-17; 1 Peter 2:24). We must realise that God's loving kindness provides us with divine healing and health through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and we must learn to take advantage of it by faith. This message helps to understand human suffering: its root or origin; and God supernatural provision for our well-being.
