Story Transcript:

Sl: Sneg je nežno padal nad Blejsko jezero.
En: The snow was gently falling over Blejsko jezero.

Sl: Borut je stal ob obali, v mislih popolnoma zatopljen v preteklost.
En: Borut stood by the shore, his thoughts completely immersed in the past.

Sl: Otok s cerkvico je sijal v topli praznični svetlobi, okrog njega pa zimska čarovnija.
En: The island with its little church shone in the warm festive glow, surrounded by winter magic.

Sl: Borut se je vrnil po mnogih letih.
En: Borut had returned after many years.

Sl: Čutil je teže preteklih odločitev, ki so ga še vedno preganjale.
En: He felt the weight of past decisions that still haunted him.

Sl: Ob robu jezera se je kmalu prikazala Maja.
En: Soon, Maja appeared at the edge of the lake.

Sl: Nosila je rdečo kapo in šal, na njej je sijal rahel nasmeh, a v očeh odsev stare bolečine.
En: She wore a red hat and scarf, a slight smile on her face, but in her eyes, the reflection of old pain.

Sl: Borut jo je pozdravil s plašnim nasmehom, vendar je vedel, da mu bo nocojšnji večer prinesel veliko več kot le praznična voščila.
En: Borut greeted her with a timid smile, knowing that tonight would bring much more than just festive greetings.

Sl: »Hej, Maja,« je začel Borut, »že dolgo nisva bila tukaj skupaj.
En: "Hey, Maja," Borut began, "we haven't been here together in a long time."

Sl: « Glas mu je nekoliko zadrhtel od čustev.
En: His voice trembled slightly with emotion.

Sl: Maja se je rahlo nasmehnila in rekla: »Res je.
En: Maja smiled slightly and said, "It's true.

Sl: Toliko se je spremenilo od tistega dne.
En: So much has changed since that day."

Sl: «V tistem trenutku je prihitela Tina.
En: At that moment, Tina rushed in.

Sl: Njena energija je bila kot topel vetrič v mrzlem večeru.
En: Her energy was like a warm breeze in the cold evening.

Sl: Objemala ju je s svojimi toplimi rokavicami.
En: She embraced them with her warm gloves.

Sl: »Prijatelji, ob jezeru je še vedno tako lepo, kajne?
En: "Friends, it's still so beautiful by the lake, right?

Sl: Vse smo že preživeli, čas je za nove začetke,« je veselo rekla.
En: We've been through it all, it's time for new beginnings," she said cheerfully.

Sl: Njene besede so bile napolnjene z upanjem.
En: Her words were filled with hope.

Sl: A Borut je vedel, da je prisotna še ovira.
En: But Borut knew there was still an obstacle.

Sl: Zbral je pogum in pogledal Majo v oči: »Maja, prišel sem se opravičit.
En: He gathered his courage and looked Maja in the eyes: "Maja, I came to apologize.

Sl: Vsi tisti prepiri, vsa tista leta.
En: All those arguments, all those years...

Sl: bil sem preveč ponosen, da bi to priznal.
En: I was too proud to admit it."

Sl: «Maja je globoko vdihnila.
En: Maja took a deep breath.

Sl: Za trenutek je nastala tišina, preden je spregovorila: »Borut, tudi jaz nisem bila brez napak.
En: For a moment, there was silence before she spoke: "Borut, I wasn't without fault either.

Sl: Morda bi se lahko pogovorila, prastare zamere so pretežke za nošenje.
En: Maybe we could talk, ancient grudges are too heavy to carry."

Sl: «Sprehodili so se ob jezeru.
En: They strolled by the lake.

Sl: Blejski zrak je bil svež in umirjen.
En: The air of Blejsko was fresh and calm.

Sl: Razgovor med Borutom in Majo je tekel počasi.
En: The conversation between Borut and Maja flowed slowly.

Sl: Tina je ostala v ozadju, da je lahko videla, kako stare zamere izginjajo pod debelo preprogo snega.
En: Tina stayed in the background so she could see how old grudges vanished under the thick blanket of snow.

Sl: »Maja, hvala,« je hvaležno rekel Borut.
En: "Maja, thank you," said Borut gratefully.

Sl: »Ne morem vrniti preteklosti, ampak lahko gradiva prihodnost.
En: "I can't change the past, but we can build the future."

Sl: «Maja ga je rahlo dregnila s komolcem.
En: Maja nudged him lightly with her elbow.

Sl: »Včasih so potrebne nevihte, da posije sonce.
En: "Sometimes it takes storms for the sun to shine."

Sl: «S kratkimi koraki so se vrnili v vas, kjer so se med prazničnimi lučmi zdramili spomini na stare božične zabave.
En: With short steps, they returned to the village, where memories of old Christmas parties were awakened among the festive lights.

Sl: Tam se je Borut zares pomiril.
En: There, Borut truly felt at peace.

Sl: Ugotovil je, da lahko nadaljuje s svojim življenjem brez težkih bremen preteklosti.
En: He realized he could continue with his life without the heavy burdens of the past.

Sl: Na koncu večera, ko so stopali po snegu proti avtu, se je Borut počutil svobodnega.
En: At the end of the evening, as they walked through the snow towards the car, Borut felt free.

Sl: Pogledal je proti Maji in Tini: »Vesel božič, prijatelji.
En: He looked towards Maja and Tina: "Merry Christmas, friends.

Sl: Hvala, ker ste mi dali novo priložnost.
En: Thank you for giving me a new chance."

Sl: «Maja se je nasmehnila, Tina pa je poskočila od veselja.
En: Maja smiled, and Tina jumped for joy.

Sl: Dnevi zamere so se razblinili v zimo.
En: The days of grudges dissolved into the winter.

Sl: Borut je odšel obdan z zavestjo, da je odpuščanje najlepše darilo, ne le v božičnem času, ampak za vedno.
En: Borut left surrounded by the awareness that forgiveness is the most beautiful gift, not just in the Christmas season, but forever.
