Cs: V husté kavárně na rohu rušné ulice v Praze voněla káva a tlumený šum hovorů evropských návštěvníků tvořil příjemné pozadí.
En: In the bustling kavárna on the corner of a busy street in Praha, the aroma of coffee mixed with the subdued murmur of conversations from European visitors created a pleasant background.

Cs: Venkovní svět byl zalitý zlatými odstíny podzimu, kdy vítr shazoval listí na dlážděnou ulici.
En: The outside world was bathed in the golden hues of autumn, as the wind swept leaves onto the cobblestoned street.

Cs: Jana seděla u stolu v rohu, kde se snažila potlačit nervozitu, která sužovala její mysl.

Cs: “Eva, sedící vedle Jany, si odsedlina, chvějící se očekáváním, se zaměřila na rozhovor.

Cs: „Mami, kdy půjdeme do zoo?
En: "Mom, when are we going to the zoo?"

Cs: “ špitla nedočkavě.
En: she whispered eagerly.

Cs: „Brzy, zlatíčko,“ Jana ji uklidňovala s úsměvem.
En: "Soon, sweetheart," Jana reassured her with a smile.

Cs: „Jen si promluvím s tvým strýčkem.
En: "I just need to talk with your uncle."

Cs: “„Promiň, Thomasi,“ obrátila se zpátky k bratrovi, „je to dlouho.
En: "Sorry, Thomasi," she turned back to her brother, "it's been a long time.

Cs: Chtěla bych pochopit, co se mezi námi vlastně stalo.
En: I'd like to understand what really happened between us."

Cs: “Thomas sklonil hlavu.
En: Thomas bowed his head.

Cs: „Byl jsem hloupý.
En: "I was foolish.

Cs: Omlouvám se.
En: I'm sorry.

Cs: Vím, že bych měl být lepším bratrem.
En: I know I should have been a better brother."

Cs: “Emoce proudily mezi nimi, ale oba věděli, že to musí překonat.
En: Emotions flowed between them, but both knew they had to overcome it.

Cs: Jana otevřela svůj blok s upřímnými slovy.
En: Jana opened her notebook with honest words.

Cs: „Chci, abychom byli zase rodina.

Cs: “Eva mezitím začala být neklidná.

Cs: “ Její hlas byl stále vyšší.
En: Her voice grew louder.

Cs: „Už jdeme, miláčku,“ ujistila ji Jana a poklepala jí po ramenou.
En: "We're going now, darling," Jana assured her, patting her on the shoulder.

Cs: Poté se obrátila zpět k Thomasovi.
En: Then she turned back to Thomas.

Cs: „Slib mi, že zůstaneme v kontaktu.
En: "Promise me, we'll stay in touch."

Cs: “„Slibuji,“ odpověděl Thomas s úsměvem.
En: "I promise," answered Thomas with a smile.

Cs: Věděli, že dnešní rozhovor dal věcem nový směr.
En: They knew today's conversation had put things on a new path.

Cs: Jana vzala Evu za ruku a zamířila ke dveřím.
En: Jana took Eva's hand and headed for the door.

Cs: Otočila se na Thomase a naposledy se rozloučila.
En: She turned back to Thomas and said goodbye one last time.

Cs: Odcházela s pocitem úlevy, jakoby z jejich světa zmizela velká tíha.
En: She left with a sense of relief, as if a great weight had disappeared from their world.

Cs: Eva skákala radostí, připravená na dobrodružství v zoo.
En: Eva was jumping with joy, ready for the adventure at the zoo.
